Long time Halo player here, the gameplay is great, 343 actually managed to make a decent game. However, of course not without it's flaws, and sadly the flaws heavily overshadow any positives I have to give this game.

As I said, gameplay is good, campaign was decent, however that's only when everything works. There are a plethora of issues present in the game, some of course being personal taste:

- Unable to choose which region/server to play on. As an Aussie, it is horrible how this game 9/10 times will shove you in an American or Asian server, despite playing at peak times. I don't really need to explain how 200+ ping becomes un-fun in a shooter.
- Big Team Battle is back, and more horrible than ever; constant disconnects/crashes for many players (which isn't limited to just this gamemode, but is most obvious here), the best part is that players seem to not be able to fill empty slots in Big Team Battle games in progress.
- Obligatory "Battle Pass bad"
- Game is very poorly optimised, most obvious in the campaign. Older hardware will run the multiplayer just fine, but when it comes to the campaign, will unironically have a much easier time running Cyberpunk 2077
- Matchmaking often gets stuck, or runs into error loops that only relaunching the game will fix.
- Skill Based Matchmaking is present in non-ranked gamemodes. It's not fun when the game punishes you for doing slightly above average by turning every game into a sweat-fest. I'll play ranked if I want that, cheers.

Overall, I do enjoy the game when it plays as intended, and I mean the multiplayer is free, but with this many issues present, I feel like the game just lacks too much polish in it's current early state. Perhaps it needed another delay. I will continue to play, and may change my review if 343 addresses these issues.

EDIT: Nope. The game is getting worse and worse as server stability has been degrading. I think 343 needs to throw in the towel and stop making games.

10/10 Would cry again like I did as a child but in HD

This game is only good if you are playing with all your mates who are typing on the same keyboard or on a different computer. This game does not have online multiplayer. I wasted $4.00 for pixelated crap.
