I was excited for it as an MMO, but I'm genuinely happy that it's not a live service game now, it's a lot of fun to play already and the devs are passionate about making sure this game gets finished.

I've been playing the echoes update and the way weapons/armor/wayfinders drop from enemies/bosses is genuinely way more fun than the old crafting system (it was like warframe where you craft everything). The combat is way more responsive without needing to be always-online. The talent tree has a lot of potential when making builds for different characters or weapons. Leaning into more ARPG systems would be perfect for this game and the devs seem to know that.

They still have a lot of work ahead of them fixing bugs and performance, but they work FAST. They're even open to the idea of matchmaking and had a working internal build for a server browser to find people to play with.
