This game is not for the weak hearted. One does not simply play skyrim you become apart skyrim, the world, the story, the breathtaking atmosphere, the futanari mods. You will love, you will cry if you are not ready to commit 100% of your time and thought into this game then do not purchase it. For you are not worthy. My uncle kissed me under the docks. The graphics are far greater than in any other game with photo realistic environments in ultra hd you will become immersed beyond your wildest beliefs and forget where the line between your monitor and reality is.

Great game, installed a handful of stability mods and only experienced 1-2 crashes in my last ~20 hours of gameplay, pretty reasonable for a +10 old year game running on this god forsaken engine. PCGamingWiki has listed some good stability mods, I also heavily recommend an FOV slider and a sprint mod as well since the default walking speed is a little slow for such a open map. I know a lot of people wishes Bethesda would fix this game but might be better if they didn't as they would likely just ruin a lot of no longer updated mods, with just a little bit of work this game can still run pretty well on modern systems (Win 10, R5 2600, RX 6650xt)

Personally stuttering only really happens when loading a new area, not that bad at all. Plus the game itself is absolutely amazing.

OVERALL REVIEW: 8/10

Gameplay 10/10
-Pretty much top tier, with very few weak links. You just need to want to go out and try new things, since it's very easy to go through this game with just a tranq pistol/sniper and do every mission the same way. The replayability of the game is about as high as it gets, with a load of weapons, ranks, and side objectives in every mission.

Visuals 7/10
-Very solid, still holds up very well 5 and a half years later, plus now the game is pretty easy to run on high/ultra. Unfortunately the setting for half the game, Afghanistan, doesn't have much to offer, it's just brown and sand. The second area, Africa is better with a good mix of red and green though.

Audio 8/10
-Sounds are all meaty and intense, exactly how they should be. Plus you can easily add your own music in game, but even so there is an ok selection already in the game.

Difficulty 7/10
-Getting through the game isn't too hard, a mixture of the buddies being a little OP and a very generous reflex mode. But to pull off a perfect mission is quite the challenge and very fun one.

Story 7/10
-Even though this is a metal gear game, it feels like it lost a bit of its special touch. The codec is gone, replaced with a basic radio, I suppose to try and make the game more of a "game with a movie" rather than a "game in the movie". Still it was part of the charm of the games and I think MGS3* did the balance best. The cutscenes are beautiful with almost everyone of them being a single long take, and they absolutely capture your attention. However only about 25-30% of the story are in those cutscenes, with the majority of the story taking place in cassette tapes given to you throughout the game. In theory this means you can listen to them anytime, either at Mother Base, in the ACC, or while deployed in a mission or side ops. But in practicality, it's hard to understand them while playing, and it's hard to play while listening to them, so while I don't mind them, I think it could've been handled better. Overall the story is interesting, but it could've been handled better.

*I've played MGS 1, 2, and 3, but I have not played 4 or Peace Walker

The Rest
-It's a game everyone can play, the story is, as I've said above, very much optional, and the gameplay is enough for everyone to pick up the game once.
-I have a RX580 and a R5 2600, and this game runs on high never dropping below 60 (which the game is capped at), so it's not that much of a demanding game.
-At 20 dollars, you can easily get 50+ hours of solid gameplay, which I would say is definitely worth the price. When it's on sale for 5 dollars, it's definitely a steal, though you may want to get the definitive edition so you can get Ground Zeroes as well.
-I've had pretty much no bugs throughout my playthrough, it's a non-issue

5 bucks during steam sale, pretty solid game even being this old. There's a couple of problems with the port, one of the more annoying one was with the QTE prompts, this game uses them a lot and they were pretty annoying usually. They only got worse when sometimes it would fail even when pressing the button, since if you are running it at 60FPS when it's supposed to be capped at 30, the QTEs sometimes (not all of them) become a lot harder/near impossible. To fix it all you have to do is go into the settings and cap it at 30. Other than that, there weren't many problems with the port itself, just the age of the game.

The shooting and movement is pretty solid, just expect to be playing at the bare minimum of FOV for the whole game, but thats the only huge problem. The puzzles are pretty decent, except for Ashley's puzzle but besides that the rest are ok to good. Honestly happily surprised that the game held up this well today, you won't have any problems getting into this.

Finally released on Steam, no one likes origin so this is great for the players and to bring new ones in. Unfortunately one step forward and another one back, the battle pass this season was reworked to be utter crap, trying to get us to pay money for levels if we want to get anywhere with the pass, or we can play 2-3 hours daily which just isn't an option for many people. Still I love the game and I want it to make a bit of a comeback (and I rarely buy ingame cosmetics), so I'm recommending this for everyone. Fair warning, I've had a couple of server related bugs, but I feel like that's a given since the game just released on steam.

Yea it was good, might even make me play the other Tomb Raider games, solid 9 hour story plus now I can go back and do free roam, lot of fun for a free game during quarantine.

This game is a masterpiece, as it is truly a steaming pile of ♥♥♥♥ but I still come back to it over and over again having fun. It's not a game that you should take too seriously but it is still a great buy, especially with friends.
