I've seen a LOT of negative reviews bombarding this game on Steam because of a few simple bugs that could EASILY be fixed with a patch.

Yes the resolution problem is huge and needs to be addressed, but after a few simple fixes I found on Reddit the game is looking great and I'm exploring the wasteland without all the blur ruining my time.

BESIDES THESE PROBLEMS I'M GLAD TO SAY THE GAME IS F**KING AWESOME[!/b]

Sure not everything in the game is not interactive like with a conventional VR title, but people need to realize that Bethesda has converted over 80+ hours of gameplay into a VR experience that somehow manages to work, and plays much better than I could have ever expected it to.

There are options for teleportation and smooth locomotion (onward style) so new players and VR veterans can pick and choose which one they like the best, and also unlike Doom VFR (sorry ID) left handed people aren't left in the dust. Using the Pip-Boy to handle menu options feels great as well, even though my touchpad is almost broken from being used so much.

VATS has now been changed to slow down time rather than freeze everything completely and you really do feel like a badass turning it on and unloading on someones head as they jump out at you.

A huge problem with the game though is that the scopes in the game are completely broken, and I really don't know why they couldn't have just finished working on them before pushing the game live. This really sucks as it's not that easy to try and shoot enemies with iron sights from across the map, but Bethesda has already addressed this and stated that they are working on it.

I've had an amazing two hours exploring the world of Fallout and I can't wait to get another chance to hop back into my headset and sink even more time into the game. Like I said earlier, Bethesda didn't get everything perfect this time around, but think of how complicated it must have been to get this game into VR in a playable form. If we keep supporting the game and Bethesda keeps patching the game there is huge potential for something great here, I just hope they give this the support it deserves <3

*Just to be clear, Bethesda has provided me with a review copy of this game. That has not influenced my opinion on the game or the way I wrote this review, but I wanted to make sure it was stated.

Make sure that after changing your DSR factors, you also change the resolution of your desktop to match, or else the blur will still be there. It'll be hard to navigate, but you can switch it back after you finish playing :)

Early Access Review
BAR FIGHTS!

Upon purchase I went into this game expecting another multiplayer shooter this time in a sci-fi western environment, but what I got was much, much more.

Immiediately upon opening the game I walked into a bar and got in a fistfight, my natural instincts told me to grab a beer bottle, smash it on the table besides me, and then beat the absolute F**K out of the dude in front of me, so I did.

It sounds simple, but when all of that happened as fluidly as I planned it in my head and I realized I was puncturing this robot into submission, I knew that this was one of the best experiences I've ever had with my Vive. The stellar physics engine and hit detection made sure that I never lost immersion in my environment and I ended up hitting my walls quite a few times.

The advanced networked physics engine and well-polished gameplay are what's going to help this title stand out from the multitude of other shooters on the platform, and I can't wait to see the game as it gets further into development.

This game looks great and appears to have an amazing gameplay style filled with action and adventure, nope. I spent $40 of my money and 7 hours of my time giving this game the chance it deserved, but it failed me. The gameplay is incredibly repetitive and tires before you even get to find the good spells. Sure the graphics are pretty stunning and there are beautiful landscapes but they are drowned out by the monotonous gameplay and the completely lackluster storyline. One of this games main points is that the enemies are brutal. All enemies are easy to kill except the bosses which are just huge spikes in difficulty. All that happens is they get an insane amout of health and take almost 15 minutes of your time just to kill them. I would not recommend this game to anyone unless it was on sale. Do yourself a favor and spend your $40 on something that deserves it.

Very interesting and obscure game with a great storyline that should be experienced if you're into adventure games. The game might seem unsettling at first but soon the story grabs you by the testicles and you can't stop playing.
