An incredibly fun co-op experience with a community that does whatever it takes to spread Democracy.

Being able to release a broken game that has to be patched by the community in order for it to be playable? Yikes, I guess great work if you can get it though.

I have a decent rig (i7-4790k, 24GB RAM, GTX 1080), got the game in the first 2021 Humble Bundle. It just straight up decides to crash or stall every time I boot it up.

A game that is pretty much what you would get if you took Agatha Christie, put a gun to her head, made her read every syllable of H.P. Lovecraft, and finally demanded she take the themes from the veneer of those 1000+ pages (maybe losing the racism) and write a mystery novel, except you didn't say novel, you said video game (also something about Open-world), which took some explaining but that wasn't the most important part. No, not you. The most important part is that every character in this story, unequivocally, ♥♥♥♥♥. EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. It might not necessarily be imperative to the narrative, but it is important TO YOU.

Anyway, it is a very good game. You should buy it.

Sometimes it is just nice to throw something into the void and know that somewhere you are heard.

A fantastic roguelike with massive amounts of depth that perfectly showcases all the talent Super Giant Games possesses.

Early Access Review
Game will not run without a shuttering green strobe on a GTX 1080. Pass.

In the first level (playing co-op) I confronted frame rate drops, 2 game freezes so bad I had to hard reset my computer (at which point I had to play the entire opening level again) The controls are wonky and everything feels painfully unfocused with regards to aim. Ironman's unibeam to solve one of the games 'puzzles' was so finicky even when using the D-pad to trace the shape demanded of me that it took me five tries after it kept on deciding that no, I was done with that puzzle and the rubble on the ground was really where the unibeam ought to have been after all ,thank you very much.

I am upset with this game. I wanted to have a good time. Instead I found frustration with a series that's been around long enough none of this should be even close to an issue.

Does the game get repetitive? Yes. Does that in anyway affect the satisfaction of spearing people and dragging their corpses around the wasteland? Only slightly. The game feels about a third longer than it needs to be, but the tedium of the game only started grating on my during the last couple hours...which was also the emotional crux of the story, which wasn't great, but then few things happen the way we'd truly hope them to be.

I good deal at $20 to $30. Given I picked up for $15 I'm plenty pleased.
