I'm not the biggest Diablo-style ARPG fan, but becoming an all-powerful necromancer controlling a great Undead Horde instantly sold me on the game. In that regard, Undead Horde definitely lives up to its name, but unfortunately, it doesn't go much deeper than that.

Undead Horde is a pretty casual ARPG where you command a giant undead army. I played through the game on my Pixel 6 Pro, and it was a breeze. The best part is commanding your Undead Horde—resurrecting units never got old for me, and there's a large variety of units, so you can have a pretty interesting force if you treat them like a pick and mix.

Visually, I'm quite a fan of the casual art style that Undead Horde uses. Everything feels kinda like I'm playing with a bunch of matte toys. The low-poly graphics likely help with performance when huge amounts of units are on screen.

I would recommend this game as a really fun casual experience, and it's something I'll definitely be keeping installed on my phone. You can easily play the game and watch something like a TV show, and you'll be just fine—even if you get killed, there's basically no downside.

While the game is shallow, and your personal involvement in combat feels more like an officer at the back of the army rather than an all-powerful necromancer, the feeling of commanding a large horde and mixing and matching units is great fun. The big kicker for me is the lack of a way to back up your saves. While I was playing, I couldn't shake the feeling that if something goes wrong, my progress will be lost.

The best suggestion I can give for Undead Horde is to buy the game for your Steam Deck or a similar portable device, if you want something you can bash away at while chilling out since it isn't hard or stressful and has some great replay value.

Crying Suns is one of the most enjoyable story-driven games I've played in a long time. As someone who liked FTL but felt it was a bit too difficult and lacking in plot, Crying Suns addresses these issues brilliantly.

You play as a clone of the Empire's greatest admiral, awakened after years of silence from the once-mighty Empire. Commanding a capital ship, you venture into a dystopian sci-fi universe to uncover what happened. The game's narrative is deeply engaging, inspired by classics like Dune, and kept me hooked from start to finish.

The gameplay is a tactical rogue-lite with real-time strategy combat that allows pausing, requiring thoughtful decision-making. The combat involves deploying units in a strategic rock-paper-scissors system, and upgrading your battleship is crucial for success. The interactions with various characters are rich and meaningful, each adding depth to the universe.

The pixel art style is stunning, blending 2D and 3D elements with muted colours that make neon highlights stand out. It creates a captivating dystopian aesthetic that's visually pleasing. The soundtrack complements the atmosphere perfectly, enhancing the overall immersion.

Crying Suns is available on multiple platforms, including mobile and PC, and supports cross-platform save transfers. I played on both my Pixel 6 Pro and PC. While I preferred mouse and keyboard controls, the touch controls on mobile were smooth and responsive.

If you're a fan of story-driven games with deep tactical gameplay and beautiful pixel art, I highly recommend Crying Suns. It delivers a memorable experience that's both challenging and rewarding. The ability to seamlessly switch between platforms is a fantastic bonus.

After about 4 hours of gameplay I completed the game & 'finished' the different modes it had to offer. While the game itself is fairly short and doesn't do anything new, the combat it provides is very fun and perfect if you just want to put a headset on and fight a few enemies with entertaining weapon physics.

Absolutely amazing game, even for people who don't normally like Souls games. The multiplayer both native to the game and modded in is pretty amazing; the community for this game is also surprising wholesome given this style of game.

Game is basically Sea of Thieves as a battle royale. Interesting concept, and I like the theme & style going on here.

However in it's current state, even If it were free, I wouldn't play it any longer. It feels unfinished and janky in the current state & without other players, I was finished after about 28 minutes.

Fantastic considering the tiny team, but some elements of gameplay get frustrating the further into the game you get.

A very chill game where you deliver goods and listen to a real world radio dedicated to this game. Fantastic when you get some friends together in the Multiplayer Mod (TruckersMP) and get a convoy going.

The Halo series helped revolutionise the FPS genre on console, which paved the way for how we play FPS games today. Having Halo on PC feels like the perfect place for these games given how different it is both to play them with Mouse & Keyboard and the nice upgrade the games get in graphical fidelity.

I would highly recommend the Halo Master Chief Collection to anyone who has even a passing interesting in FPS games as this package gives you 6 fantastic games with some amazing campaigns with a high amount of replayability.

If you liked the original Mount & Blade games then you'll love this. Bannerlord is just more of the best elements of the original Mount & Blade games.
