What can I say? A free game that captured my attention start to finish. It was a memorable experience.

I appreciate the active developer; he's always adding new content to the game to keep it fresh and evolving. I will be chasing the final achievements for quite some time to come.

Early Access Review
Simple, addicting gameplay keeps you coming back for more in this retro, top-down rogue-like.

The goal is to survive as long as you can against wave after wave of enemies. You start dismally outmatched with only a single level 1 weapon, but each level up you get to choose a new weapon or accessory to acquire or power up. At first, you may survive a few minutes and earn a meager amount of gold. You spend this gold on new characters and skill points that improve your starting position. As you become more skilled, you begin to survive longer and earn more gold to further improve your stats, and suddenly you are snowballing. Soon, you learn how to become an unstoppable screen-killing machine with the right combinations of upgrades.

After surviving to the end of the waves for the first time, it only spurred me on to keep going and unlock every powerup, every character and ultimately every achievement. For such a simple game at such an affordable price point, this game is a no-brainer for how much time you will enjoy with it. Highly recommend.

My favorite Final Fantasy game, FFVIII has a decent story and great mechanics. In my opinion, the story and character development isn't quite on par with FFVII, but I enjoyed the game mechanics more which made the difference for me. I loved playing through the story, meeting all the characters and progressing to the end of the game. After beating the main story I focused on conquering some of the challenges such as Omega Weapon and completing the game with Squall at level 1. Definitely a great game I loved spending time with.

Gun-wielding space-ninjas save the galaxy. Yes please! Super fun to play with friends, fun to unlock new weapons and frames that completely transform the gameplay allowing you to find a playstyle that suits you.

Unlocking the Prime gear without paying is quite a grind and involves a lot of trading with the MMO community, which I didn't do much of. You will hit a wall without investing in the Prime gear or being carried by other people who have, but I still enjoyed progressing through the early planets and unlocking as much normal gear as i could.

Skyrim provides a legendary singleplayer RPG experience. Explore a vast world, level up your skills, find your playstyle and take on more sidequests than you will ever finish. I hardly scratched the surface of the main storyline as I found myself constantly exploring new areas and helping the various NPCs with their troubles. There are so many ways to play and so many things to experience.

Terraria has been so much fun to play. I've played through the game several times as various updates have been released with the amount of content before endgame increasing every time. I always love playing through a world with friends and working through the progression of gear and zones. I highly recommend Terraria if you are looking for a game that is heavy in exploration and combat.

This game is great if you are willing to let it take over your life. I accomplished all of my played hours in the span of several weeks. I was logged into the game 24/7 as you can accomplish some life skills (notably Fishing) while AFK.

The game has impressive visuals that have only gotten better with the HD rerelease. The customization available in the character creation menu is unreal and being able to import/export to the community makes it even better. The combat is fun, fluid and very dynamic. I only made it through the early leveling experience as life skills and the node system completely captured my time and attention. It was enjoyable and kept me coming back to the game at regular intervals to try and optimize my gathering.

Super simple, super addictive. A great feel for progression, fun to optimize. Enjoyed it way more than I should of and lost countless hours to it.

I have enjoyed PoE for a long time. Great to play solo, even better to play with friends; I've enjoyed league after league with new mechanics and expansions to a story that has grown over many years. I was having fun from the beginning and I still have fun now. I've probably spent more time outside the game learning about it than I have spent in the game playing it. The systems are complex and numerous, the customization is endless and someone is always finding a new way to best exploit all of the options available. If you like theory-crafting and optimization, this game is for you, no doubt!
