Owned it for years and now actually gave it a proper shot with a few friends, surprisingly enough the first survival game i properly enjoyed, while I suppose some people might get scared by the cannibals i cant help but giggle at the angry-dad-squad beating the living crap out of a cannibal with improvised clubs for daring to screech in their general direction. definitely recommend, bring a friend and you'll have a blast.

I joined a server called "♥♥♥♥", abruptly became the most popular guy in the room and proceeded to respond with "no" to everything, then I went on stage and said "♥♥♥♥"
I ended up as admin

I've played only a short amount of time and I can already tell you I'm in love with this game.

If I had to give this game an award I'd know exactly which one it would be.
It'd be the "Game that could be made as GMod server and be better" award.
It constantly makes you think "Hey, I could be playing Left 4 Dead right now", which will make you play it.
It's too slow paced to be fun, every musical cue is the same theme slightly remixed which gets annoying fast.
The maps look like some "Hammer starter pack"
The objective is always the same.
There's no real sense of fear or stress in any way since the zombies are no threat, the fast ones can be taken out in one melee swing, the slow "heavy" ones in two, but are too slow to reach you anyways. Also, all the NPCs are rather easy to trick, as they can't jump.
Overall, I really don't understand why this game is so highly recommended, I can't recommend it.

This mod is, in my honest opinion, the best HL1 mod out there, and now it comes with the entirety of HL1 free of charge.
Give it a try, It really is worth it.

It's DayZ but without the force feeding and with more blocky-oriented graphics, It's also free. Give it a shot.

11/10 - Would pass the whiskey again
