Pros:
+Amazing proof of concept, game plays well, atmosphere is oppressive, truly feel like you’re just trying to survive, but if soldiers push you, you’re not helpless, so long as you’re not out in the open.
+variety of weapons, gunplay feels nice.
+ai could use some touch ups, but most of the time sneaking past them isn’t an impossible uphill journey of plotting some extremely sideways route to get past them, whether the map has good hiding places to just being open enough for you to sprint to extract.
Also ai noticing when a bunker is open and investigating or a loud mechanical door opening is a nice touch.

Cons/things that can be easily fixed in future.
ai spawns - sometimes they’ll just literally spawn on you, kill you and vanish. That can be a bit frustrating
Hunter killers - love the idea, just a “get out of the map” push rather than overstaying your welcome, HOWEVER. If they had a more consistent spawn rate, because sometimes you’ll be in a map for a minute and a half is the fastest I’ve had them spawn, all the way up to 15 minutes in a mesa run where I was waiting for a corpse tank kill to happen, which leads to my next point
Europa is currently way too strong - 2 of the quests are effectively unfinishable due to Europa being way too dominant on battlefields, because there is nothing to kill the exo’s and corpse tanks. Corpse tank control systems are a bit too rare, considering the time spent waiting for one to die, have yet to find an exo pilot. The reason I bring this up is because the scav boss quest gives the same rewards as these 2, but costs 2 shotgun shells and 20 seconds.

In all the game is truly a lot of fun, I’m not going to bring up the water mechanic bc it’s negligible if you actually play the game for more than 30 minutes. Water is very easy to get, and if we get a harder timer on it instead of real time, I’m for it entirely.

In all, this game just needs a bit more time in the over and it’ll come out perfect.

9/10 for proof of concept
8/10 for enjoyment thus far

Tried playing in 2022, game is unplayable, tried all the fixes, still runs like garbage, even on the lowest settings with 16 gb of ram, consumes your gpu and runs at 2 fps

Horrible optimisation, game developers clearly don't give a rats ass that the game is completely unplayable.

I'm giving this game in it's current state a positive review, as a counterbalance to some of the negativity, while yes, the unfortunate truth of the game right now in it's current league (Lake of Kalandra, if I haven't updated the league on this review, please disregard the rest of this review) it's in the worst state it's ever been. Not for the fact that the game play is necessarily bad, you can play this game and you can have an absolute boatload of fun!

The problem lies in the growing pains the game is currently going through, implementing a bunch of new systems and trying to balance, what is essentially a single player experience, around the highest tier of player, that are rolling in currency. (Currency is essentially the "gold" in this game, but it's gold that's functional, and there are many different kinds, the most standardised form of currency that would equate to gold in this system would be a "Chaos orb") I don't think the game is dead, and I don't think the sheer volume of negative reviews are necessarily warranted, considering that the team does try to keep in touch with the community, the community is just... Kind of whiny. What I do think is that the team needs to really review the changes they want to put into the game before they do it, and listen to the early comments of their alpha/beta play testers who point out some of the issues. I can understand time constraints, but I won't allow them as an excuse for poor execution and implementation of game features.

The game holds a lot of promise, and if you want a fun ARPG that's different and much faster paced with a lot of end game options, this is definitely still a good game, and if you haven't played it yet, at least clear the campaign and see how you find the game play. The game is still fun, but for more experienced players, the fun isn't quite as forthcoming as we'd like it to be.

High level game play is awful unless you're a swf, nerf survivors PLEASE, fix the obvious bugs PLEASE like being stuck on a corner as both killer as survivor (surprising i know). If you think swf is fun for anyone but yourself, you're a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
