Really fun game. It's true to the original and only updates the graphics, voice acting, combat, and a few other small things. It comes together really well and is an excellent example of a remaster.

However the optimization of the game is poor. At low settings with DLSS in performance mode, I still get below 60 fps on my 3060 ti and with a lot of enemies the frame rate can often drop to 30 fps or lower. The game also crashes frequently. This is a 20 year old game I should be able to play it at 1440p with 144fps but instead of I'm extremely throttled and I have to same constantly out of fear of the game crashing during an important moment (it happens usually once or twice a session). It's unreal that they haven't fixed the crashing and fps issues 2 months after release. I'm giving it 3/5 stars but would immediately switch to 5/5 stars if they fixed the crashes and fps problems.

Buggy. Online play is kinda fun but matchmaking is pretty bad and there's so many hackers. Game would be much more fun if it was less buggy and had a smooth match making system.

I have to say, coming from Civ IV I was a bit against the idea of this game. There were a couple of changes, but I grew to really enjoy them. Civ V makes borders grow slower, city take overs to take longer, and wars to last a bit longer. It adds more of a realism element to the content. The politics also became a lot more involved.

I was a sniper with the machina and killed a train of medics in 1 shot.
