For context, the last NFS I completed was the Most Wanted remake.

The campaign is not too bad, but there are some weird quirks. Like the dialogues during mission races tied to your track location. Even when there will be no more updates for the game, there are a lot of weird bugs in edge cases. It is no launch date Cyberpunk tho.

There are a lot of cars, but the campaign alone does not give you enough money to be able to afford many. It is a shame that in classic NFS style, you can only see the outer cameras and not inside the car. The cars handle in classic NFS style, and more or less the car you select is just based on looks and sound maybe.

Overall, it is not a bad pick when 90% off or more.

Having played the previous two games in this franchise, here is my initial impression.

There was a lot to be worried about Codemasters games post EA buyout, but I am glad to report that this game have been mostly unaffected by it, at least negatively. But there has been inklings of changes which points to a FIFA-like future of this game.

It all starts with the loading screen, which marks the tighter integration with FIA in terms of "asset rights" with intro sequence involving footage from real-life F1. The new "Braking Point" storymode is akin to the more recent singleplayer experiences in FIFA, where you play the role of an upcoming star in the sport. There are many such minor details which show that EA still had some role to play in the making of the game.

If you are a returning player or a sweaty racer, however, it may all look like a fresh coat of paint over the same old moulding house. Handling model feels different for the sake of it (even though wheel players or sweaty snobs would call it otherwise), and the car setups work completely different from before. Continuing the usual trend, there are even fewer controls over the car with the removal of fuel modes during the race. Now the best you can do for fuel is to set to low during out and formation laps. Things are made more accessible by pretty much decreasing the skill ceiling. If you go for Sunday league in this game, the built in features remain broken, and the netcode is still bad as ever. There are now icons to show how trash your connection is, alongside further new bugs (continue qualifying for twice as long with a simple reconnect if you must).

Although, for filthy casuals (as I was some time back), things are looking much nicer. Co-op sounds like fun, but you need friends for that! :) Over all, the game is much more accessible starting out, and there are now sessions dedicated for new players, which I'd love to join just to destroy everyone.

TL;DR: Recommended for new F1 fans, not so much for seasoned guys. But the hardcore ones would've bought already, despite the horrid regional pricing à la EA.

After playing the previous edition, I had high hopes for 2.0. For the most part, this game delivers. At -75%, don't even bother reading the rest of this review: just go buy it!

Firstly, there are a couple things that are a turn off at first - requiring to always stay online, much more emphasis on the in-game credits for more upgrades and repairs, lack of hillclimb, etc. But when it comes down to the gameplay, you can put everything aside and bask in all that is amazing about this franchise.

You get some of the classic locations, but also new additions that adds to the global touch to rallying. Although much more graphically demanding than the previous game, if you can afford it, you can get great visuals as you drive through the countryside. The driving experience is as punishing as ever but still has the weird flip mechanics which throws realism out of the window. Safe to say, even if you start with 2.0, you get the same rally (cross) experience.

I appreciate the wide range of cars this time around and a more active online events for leaderboard grinders. You can also create clubs and host open/private events. The ability to do rally cross with other players is almost perfect; only if we could compete without bots!

Given how much content there is, this is a must buy if you are interest in rally racing and wanted to try a challenging game. The GOTY edition is definitely worth it and the regional pricing (pre-EA acquisition) makes it worth every penny. There are no more content updates, and my only gripe is the lack of game file compression while downloading (Codies please fix).

Started playing when it first came out in Origin. As a BR, the TTK is longer than other shooters, just like Warzone. The movement is very satisfying in this game and CS:GO players can easily adapt their sensitivity in this game. TL;DR: Worth a try and you'll be up to speed in 10-20 hours.

Balancing OP weapons/legends have been an issue in the past but lately new things have come fair and square. There are still cheaters and weird exploits like emotes spam, but the game innovated on some things that other games have now copied. The ping system is great and removes the need to depend on a mic for most things. So is the looting system and cross platform play without screeching enemies.

Big shame that you can get it on steam anymore and have to create an epic games account. But then it's free for new players lol. Must try for all as you can enjoy it as a noob also.
