The setup-and-get-established phase of a city builder is the best part, and Against the Storm gives you that over and over again. Challenges are varied enough that you won't get bored, problems are logical enough for you to get a good crack at solving them. Devs are on top of their design, and very attuned to their players. Music and visuals are a hella vibe. Play this game.

An extremely polished roguelike, with a low barrier to entry and an extremely high (as usual for the genre) ceiling for exploration and skill. Captures the crisp and responsive feel of an old-school shooter, and there's plenty of gibs and explosions to go along.
