I didn't think that a trailer from a fat furry would get me to stop watching the video, play the game, and be taken on a ride through both games that I wasn't prepared for.
This feels as if Valve dedicated years to making a sequel to a masterpiece of a game for the second time after doing the same with the original half-life 2. I was not ready for the animations to be so smooth and beefy in all the right ways, I wasn't ready for the story be so captivating from such a simple objective, and although I can find some faults in a little bit of the voice acting or see tiny cracks in certain. I cannot be happier to have played a mod this close in quality to half life 2 and it's episodes. I feel as if I've been given closure on a story I thought would be lost to time until Valve released Alyx, and although there is still something left to explore in both Alyx, HL2, And Entropy, I do not feel this seemingly 4-8 hour game can be seen as anything less than a beautiful entry into the story of Half life.
