Enjoyable and charming game. The combat is unique and relatively easy to get a hang of, the art style is pleasant and suits the kind of theme that the game appears to be going for. Music is quite nice as well, gives the feeling of going on an exploring adventure.

All in all, I'm glad I purchased this. Definitely a worthwhile buy.

Played it back on Xbox when it first released in 2004. Glad to see it on Steam. Works well on modern systems, plays well (although a couple of things are a bit dated compared to modern shooters, but more part of the charm than anything that prevents you playing the game).

Definitely one of the best single player Vietnam War experiences out there. Excellent music in the game as well. If you like that era, heck if you just like fun shooters in general, you should seriously consider this. Watch some gameplay videos, have a bit of a think, and if you like it give it a buy. Can't complain with the price either.

Where else can you be a slave of the Njerpez, escape from their clutches, kill all of them, and then eat them as revenge, while taking all of their sweet loot for your own? There is no other game like this.

I haven't played much of the game yet, but I have to recommend it for one reason, and one reason only. My laptop is a dinosaur. I never in my life expected the game to work on it, but I bought it on a whim because I wanted it and it was on sale. The fact that I'm able to play it with decent graphical settings, and a playable framerate makes me give this an endorsement.

I had been interested in this game a while ago, but I hadn't actually been paying attention to whether or not it had been released, but upon viewing a playthrough of it on YouTube the person playing mentioned it was on Steam. Bought it, and I've been playing it for almost 4 hours straight now. I haven't been doing anything in regards to the main game, just messing around in the Arena and having fun.

I've gotta say, once you get used to the control scheme... this game is a blast to play and is rewarding in and of itself when you pull off some amazing fights against some enemies that were originally giving you such a hard time.

The fact that it's entirely physics based is another beautiful thing. Combat feels like it has oomph, but in a way that feels realistic as opposed to overly slow (i.e. it seems the developers realize that swords don't weigh 10 pounds, but at the same time they also seem to know that medieval combat is visceral).

Definitely recommend this game, even on the basis that I've only played in the Arena so far. If that was all that this was, I'd still recommend it. Especially for the price. Worth every penny.

While I feel the price is perhaps just a little bit too high in my opinion, I feel that the game has had a lot of work put into it, and on that note it can be justified. Especially due to the fact that this era is rarely represented in video games, and this release is most welcome.

It's a fun wargame, the AI is competent and not awful compared to other titles (I won't name names), the art style is charming, and overall this fills a void in my gaming tastes that I desperately wanted filled.

If you love the 17th century, if you love turn based wargames, this is dedinitely one to pick up.

I don't have half as many hours as a lot of people I know who play this. But it's by far my most favourite game. Where else can you actually command your troops, and fight in the battle as well? It combines a lot of aspects from other games making an overall great experience.

The graphics are not the greatest, and perhaps that might put some people off. But if you can move past that issue, you'll get a rewarding game. Add onto the fact that there have been numerous mods made for it, to the point that a significant amount of time periods and cultures are represented. If you've ever wanted to be a soldier, or a commander of an army, if you like swords, bows, spears, axes, and other such weapons, if you just want a sandbox style game where you can live out any sort of power-fantasy that you desire, I'd suggest buying it.

The devs aren't a huge company. Support them. It really is worth it.
