Game has moments of classic Battlefield experiences. Combat, environments, team play, etc. However, the way 2042 is balanced is garbage. Certain maps in certain game modes are completely unwinnable. This is not hyperbole, the balancing will tilt you if you expect a fair fight on every map for every game mode. Fairness simply wont happen. 2042 does try to make teams balanced initially, but in the end, you will either suffer irredeemably unbalanced maps or teammates/AI that are incapable of winning game modes.

Combo of Civilization, FTL, and Catan while still being distinctly unique. Very fun way to kill several hours and RP the Dune universe.

Almost 3 hours on record, spent 90% of that time trying to get the settings and wheel to work. Not worth it anymore. Just get ACC.

Very engaging game once you start to understand the synergies and pace of the actual game-play. Unfortunately, its pretty harsh to new players who jump right in, at least it was for me. It was fun but completely unbeatable. After looking up game-play, strats, etc. I became much more confident in my play-style and the game hit a new level of engagement. Again however, there is an obscene amount of secrets, story and lore in this game that still feel unreachable at my skill level. It's super interesting to think about all the hidden story waiting to be found, yet I can't foresee myself reaching that level without dozens of more hours of practice. To be fair, that does speak to this game's replayablility which is kind of limitless. I do absolutely recommend this game, give it a shoot even if you'e never seen game-play, but I do think it's necessary to eventually give yourself a helping hand and research more experienced players and see how they achieve the amazing limitless powers in this game.

Honestly wasn't expected to love this game as much as everyone else has said. But there is something about the ratio of story and gameplay that pushed that satisfaction button in my brain. 666% recommend this this game even if it's not your usual type. Absolutely worth it and and super fun.
