My experience with AC2 - Focus on main content -
Expect tons of misspellings and grammatical errors

What to say about AC2.
I never planned to play this game, like ever. I gave the first AC game 7 hours before I completely dropped it due to outdated and completely incomprehensible controls and janky movement. To say that I was not too excited to keep trying the older games was an understatement. But I was somehow convinced to give Ezio's first game a try.

So what did I like about the game?
Well. Despite that the controls were still a bit awkward and clunky they were miles better than AC1. May I even say satisfying at some parts?

There were multiple maps but they weren't overwhelmingly massive like AC:Odyssey was so it was easy to move around and not feel overwhelmed by the thousand option stuff you could do.

God tier voice acting. Whoever picked the voice actors were amazing because damn I was blown away.

Good graphics for being an older game. The character could sometimes look.....questionable but If you don't mind that one guy that looked like a lizard in disguise you can easily move past the facial animations and character designs.

Satisfying Executions. Need I say more?

Ezio being the main protagonist. That in itself is just a good thing. He was likable, merciful (at times), kind and also a massive flirt. Can i blame these women for falling for it tho? Absolutely not. Side note: Leonardo and Ezio's friendship and bromance is the best. Unexpected but amazing.

Mario Auditore. Probably the best introduction to a character I have seen in a good while. I laughed, I died inside and also kinda feel like this entire game was made for this one joke, no? ;) Ubisoft really went there.

Now. What did I NOT like about this game?

Oh boi. Even tho this game had a lot going for it, the game could still at times make me wanna scream and quit the game to take a break.

Startin off. The old xbox icons. It was super hard to navigate what buttons you were supposed to press when they only show an icon and a color, especially for me that (for once) decided to play this game on K&MB since I felt it was more comfortable. I had to open the control menu way too many times for my liking but at the end of the game I had learned them in and out so by the end of the game I didnt even have to pause the game.

Why oh why on god is the bards so obsessed with Ezio? It was probably the worst feeling, sneaking up on an unsuspected target hiding in plain sight and all of a sudden one or two bards just body block you out of nowhere. Like. COME ON??? LEAVE ME ALONE ALREADY.

Hard lesson to learn. Standing to close to the edge and doing an execution will noy just make the body fall off the roof, it will make Ezio fall four stories to his death......kinda my bad I guess but It was infuriating when I pressed to quickly and released he had one foot of the edge and one foot on the roof..

The races....just.....not thanks. Whoever decided to make them, especially the flag race during the carnival, can kindly step on a lego. Same goes for the damn assassination missions were you cant be seen/spotted????? WHO CAME UP WITH THESE. *Especially referencing sequence 13 and the damn boat*

Sometimes protecting 2 NPC's while getting absolutely surrounded by enemies can be downright annoying, not impossible or infuriating, but annoying. Especially when you are on a timer, have already killed the enemies close to you and all of a sudden a new squad just happens to spot you and runs over.

Those were some of my pros and cons for the game.

RANDOM NOTE:
9 PM RANT: WHY IS HE JUMPING WHEN I DONT WANT HIM TO JUMP. AAAAAA. - MAYBE ITS THE MOVEMENT THAT IS JANKY NOT THE CONTROLS? Also is Ezio naruto running???

All in all this game was ten times better than AC1 and I would definately replay it or do all the post-game stuff If I had the time.

Do I recommend it? Yes

This is not the first time I play this, neither is it the first dragon age game i ever played. My first ever dragon age experience was Dragon age 2 and my ever FULL dragon age experience was Dragon Age Inquisition. All played on my Origins account (I did play this one years ago on my XBOX but never finished it cuz i thought it was too hard.) After I bought the legendary edition of Mass effect on my steam i rebought all the dragon age games (including mass effect andromeda) to my steam so i can have them all in one spot.

What to say about this game?

It has amazing writing. The story never fails to capture me and make me engaged in the world. The story of how a character can go from a simple life (depending on what origin story you go for) to becoming a full blown legend. The Wardens story is not the saddest story (that price goes to Hawke in DA2) but its still heartbreaking to see them having to take on a roll they never asked for but accepted because its what Thedas needed. The story is also a lot darker than i remember it being.

The combat system is amazing (it took me way too long to realize you can expand the action bar but we shall ignore that). Maybe outdated for a lot of people but for me its perfect.

Amazing cast. Especially my beloved golden retriever Alistair and my equally stabby best buddy Leliana. Honorable mentions: Sigrun, Wynnie, Dagna and Mabari. Kudos to the amazing voice actors voicing each and every one.

The DLC's in my opinion is solid. Awakening is intriguing and we get to meet so many new characters (one that will comes back in the next game) and not too long - shoutout to the Blackmarsh that never fails to give me chills. The Broodmother also gets so much worse in that DLC. Witch Hunt was short and a fun experience like always. Golem of Aamgarrak is difficult and this was the first time i actually played it but it was a haunting experience and a fun side-thing to do. Leliana's song is also a short fun dlc to play before the main game. Gives some insight in our favorite Bards story.

Choices. There are a bunch of them. And they carry over between DLCs and Games. If you do stuff a certain way in Dragon age: Origins, selective quests open up in Dragon age 2 that is connected to those choices. So surprise! Choices DO matter! Well......the consequences that you get matter but the story will lead the same way either way. The ending can differ depending on your choices.

Some Cons:
- Music is way too loud sometimes, louder than the choices. Had to turn down the volume a few times because you can barely hear what they are saying.
- The Fade. Screw that place. I prefer the Dark roads.
- Crashes and freezes. The game has a tendency to crash and freeze. The freezes often occur when your traveling on the map and can sometimes give a scare that the game is crashing (did i save before i left? where did i save?)
-Bugs in awakening. In regards to the end choice you do the codes can say you did one thing but you did the opposite. (Your true actions can be seen in the epilogue thank goodness but i heard if u import to DA2 it can still say the opposite but i havent seen it yet)
- Achivos in game but not on steam. You can collect achievements inside the game itself but its still tragic they never imported any achievements to steam.

Solid recommended game for players of:
- Baldur's Gate 3
- Divinity 2
- Neverwinter nights
- Pathfinder
(RPGS in general)

KEEP IN MIND:
- The graphics can be outdated for a lot of people. (I didnt mind since i happen to love it.) If the game is unplayable for different reasons (like graphics) there are a bunch of mods you can use.
- The game is pretty dark so it has a bunch of triggers so be sure to look up trigger warnings before playing if you have to.

SOLID 4/5 game.

uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuurgh where do i even begin?
This is a game i started, paused, came back to, got confused were i was and uninstalled it. I then put it in my DNF pile (did not finish) and never touched it.......UNTIL NOW.

Im not going to lie. I had to read a damn walkthrough for this game. My brain was not braining, i was confused, my brain was hurting. I was severely lost.

Not to say the game is EXTREMELY bad, the ending was fine???? and the concept and stuff was interesting but the lack of voice acting (god having to sit through characters sending slow ass hell texts to each other in slow motion - that is what it felt like, took longer to load than the game itself - if there was a fast forward button i could not find it) i was honestly just bored of the game that i barely paid attention to the story or the probably red flowing lines connecting the mysteries together. Im sure i messed up somewhere since i unfortunately got one or two people accidentally killed.......OH WELL.

I finished it. Probably Never again. Never say Never. (But probably never again.)

*Completed at 85 minutes*

I look back at this game with such fondness. Listening to the fan music as a teenager and replaying this game with my childhood friend over and over was a darn blast. Watching Felix and Mark play this game growing up just solidified my absolute adoration for this game.

When i found out it had gotten a remaster (??) and that it was on steam instead of the usual rpg website i screamed. Id gladly pay for this game any day ( and its not even that expensive????) Of course i had to play it. AND LET ME TELL YOU!!
The music brings me back, the audio brings me back, the monsters brings me back. It is like reliving my childhood. When i heard the music again all i felt was nostalgia. a teenager me playing this game in my room at my dad's place after school or during a weekend after binging Inuyasha.
Blast from the past.

Its not long but even if it was i still couldnt recommend this game enough! 10/10!!

After years of never wanting to ever play this game out of fear that it was gonna be too spooky, the need to play Alan Wake 2 made me want to play it.

While it can be frustratingly hard sometimes even on normal its so much fun. The combat is super enjoyable and interesting. You will get too overwhelmed sometimes if there are alot of enemies which can be annoying but in general really enjoyable.

Now....The Stamina...Boi...This man has the stamina of a writer. You run for like 5-10 seconds before this man keels over and makes noises that sounds like he is dying. That was a little bit annoying ngl LMAO.

The music is fantastic and the music is one of the things i look forward to the most in Alan Wake 2.

The scare factor is definately there and it got some times but at some point you can kinda tell with which ques when things are about to happen and by that point the odd objects just moving for spook factor kinda loses spookyness. Over all? Really tense atmosphere which i can not help but like.

I also didnt play the remastered version (i got told the old one is better and i usually use steam more than epicgames) even if the controls might be better on that one. Boi. The controls weren't horrendous but they were indeed wonky at points. Not unplayable tho.

A really amazing game and i can only imagine how this game mustve been back in the day when it came out. Good job, honestly. Good job. Recommended!

After 100% the achievments in this game i can finally give an honest review.

The game itself is really cute and enjoyable. Its very cheap and you get alot of creative freedom but also some...not so creative freedom. I wish it would have more features for when u create stickers. Like make it less obvious the witch hat isnt on the rats head, change the sizes a bit more - sometimes the smallest size wouldnt be small enough lmao. But its all small stuff, honestly not that bad and very enjoyable!

Now the achievments. Some are very straight forward, some i had to use a guide cuz i didnt know what stickers they liked so i could trigger the beginning for their story. Im kinda impatient like that i guess.

Also it got very repetitive at the end when i was going for the : fully upgrade and buy all stickers achievments. Mind numbingly repetitive. Luckily it worked if i was watching something at the same time.

Is this game worth it? Absolutely, it can be low stimulating and very slow at times so its not for everyone. I think it was the sheer determination to 100% it that kept me going.

The twitch integration was also a really fun touch and helped me and my friends create some....very interesting stickers to say the least.

I remember playing this game, IB, Witch's house, Mermaid swamp, Mad Father, Misao, Wadanohara and the great blue sea, Garden Gray, Mogeko Castle etc growing up as a teen off this japanese rpgmaker site.

Im so happy they put some of those games on steam so i could play them again and that this time i could pay for them! They are dirty cheap and so worth it! Its just as dark and fun as i remember but i do feel like the controls are a bit janky when u fight the monster. Using arrow keys isnt that ideal and i wish u could put different keybindings for the meele button. Id love to 100% at some point but dang its gonna take alot out of me with these controls LMAO

I recommend this game sincerely for nostalgia and cuz i feel like u miss out on something. Growing up with these games despite not being a horror gamer myself is insane and i miss every second of it!

This game was enjoyable. I don't really fancy farming games all that much but the quest system just worked.
Its also different in the fact that u can get money in different ways and that u dont have to rely on how good ur crops are or what kinda crops ur making.

The mines are surprisingly fun and the fishing (although annoying at times) isnt too hard and can be enjoyable.

ISSUES THO.
1.The fact i need to spam click to eat. The fact i cant eat multiple foods at the same time is a chore.
2. The days cycles are too short in my opinion and it feels like sometimes u dont get to do everything you WANT to do - luckily unlike most games if u pass out due to sleep u dont loose anything.

Overall an enjoyable experience you can play with other people - i havent given it a try yet - and i finished the main quest very easily as i got invested in the game. The game also lets u play after main quest is over so u can gather achievements which i might do at some point.
