After two classes reaching level 30, and beating every map on HoE this game is great as an early access launch however, this was a full release which brings its rating down. Is it the next Payday 3? Absolutely Not.

The harshness of most reviews doesn't encompass what KF2 was like at launch, which included 3 maps, 4 classes, and 16 weapons. The game is developed and expanding in a great direction with perks allowing for more playstyles and weapon customization to complement these perks.

The character customization is limited and has characters locked to classes (confirmed to be removed), the story is simplistic yet conveys why Horzine is evil along with taking players through different parts of the maps while encouraging exploration.

Numerous Technical Issues that I have encountered such as:
• Games randomly having 9 players?
• Massive desync with players running on the spot
• Friends disconnecting and crashing
• Infinite loading screens from traders

Great Gameplay, held back by technical issues. Should've been Early Access.

As this game did not release into Early Access the reviews have been significantly harsher and completely justified. If we isolate the technical problems and focus on gameplay only it scores quiet high.

The frequent technical issues are annoying and occasionally result in ending play sessions. The foundations of Killing Floor have been changed and with the perks and weapon customization systems bring this game similar to an early version of Payday 2. While it does not destroy the franchise it needs a lot of help to grow.

I am confident in the growth and support this game will receive over the next few years but do take precaution as this is much more of an Early Access title then a full release one.

Chapter 1-4:
Absolutely fantastic! Enthralling and captivating making me crave more and ready to see what happens!

Chapter 5:

Herman's death felt pointless and relatively cringe while watching it and only held weight as a plot point to send Hannah & Crew to the train station to find his stash of HeartPox Medicine. Briefly speaking about the HeartPox was cool, but would have been interesting to see a quarantined section of the slums.

Alva trying to talk to the guard was confusing and it felt like the guard was portrayed as just a normal guard (In the mines the guard saying he applied to be a sentry would be super cool if that was the same one in the dungeons).

Some improvements in that cutscene would be if the guard was instead a Sentry stationed by the Mayor to keep him in line and spy on the Baron, perhaps even a way to introduce the enemies featured in the upcoming chapters and why Hannah could not use her blow dart.

Chapter 6-8:

You started to bring it back here and I was very impressed, the characters of the Colonel and Elisabeth were interesting in their own ways, each with differing self interest that aligned in helping out protagonists while helping themselves.

The character of the Mayor was very well done, he carried your story back from me wanting to stop playing it. Some improvements would have been more focus on what the council vote was specifically for, and potentially a scene where you have to sneak around the council hall while the vote is being declared.

A fantastic puzzle game held back by the story.

Should you play this game? Yes but on minor sale, for ~8 hours of content at $50CAD that nets us $6.25/hour. If you can grab this game around the $30-40 bracket then absolutely you should play it!

ONE OF THE BEST GAMES I HAVE PLAYED IN MY ENTIRE LIFE!

A multi-faceted game with exceptionally deep customisation that blends Frostpunk (not Frostpunk 2) and This War of Mine without sacrificing quality, story, or gameplay elements. I genuinely can't say this enough, try the game you will not be disapointed.

The combat is simplistic yet enthralling as each enemy type is also very different but has similarities, not what I expected but interesting that you can instil fear from different types of gelatinous blobs.

Subtitles

You might wonder why this game has a rating of 11/10 yet there are negative reviews? It is because 11bit used an LLM to help it create subtitles and translations. Thats it. Those translations often make no sense and are ridiculously silly since when making a decision with an Alter the tone is not accurately conveyed and you may choose something negative you didn't want to.

Everything else down to writing, crafting, twists, turns, and voice acting was an absolutely masterpiece. You should really give Alex Jordan a thank you. Thank you Jan.

Overall phenomenal gameplay with a very deep system of reporting crimes and trying to remember everything a suspect did during a police chase. However, the AI is absolutely awful and it is only friendly police AI specifically. Suspects flee from police, use sneaky moves, jump in dumpsters and do everything they can to get away while on the other hand your partner is absolutely worthless.

For example: you have two suspects and one chooses to fight and the other runs away, if you fight the one infront of you the other one gets away, if you give chase the one fighting gets away because your partner doesn't arrest them. One simple fix such as callouts for your partner such as "Give Chase, Hold Position, Search the Area, Etc" will result in the A.I going from 4/10 to 8/10. This is because it is not bad, it is detrimental to your own gameplay and often screws you over.

Main Story
A near perfect main story that presents you with an ultimatum at the end of the game, which I personally pondered for 5 minutes. The choice of choosing to destroy your fathers legacy by exposing him and his best friends corruption was not what I expected, I'll even admit the voice actor did so well I was fooled that in no way could he be corrupt. The explanation of the story ties into the armoury in game and how we had military rifles, AK's, and even a Skorpion since as I was playing my friends kept asking "How in the world does a police force have these weapons?"

All in all you killed it, a very pleasant story that intertwined well crafted gameplay.

Theatrical Killer
The writing for this side storyline was a masterpiece, every single time I got the call from the detect I wanted more! Every single kill was interesting, believable, and gruesomely entertaining.

I wish we played a more active role rather in connecting the crimes to who the victims were. Choosing a lawyer to be the killer was a neat touch as well.

Street Racing Gang
Finding out at the end the intentions of the racing gang was to keep kids out of the gangs and keep them productive was super interesting, it is a shame you didn't have to meet them in a mechanics warehouse leaving you to start making assumptions prior to the final mission saying "Oh hey we actually help the kids and don't do any form of crime" would have been a great touch.

Artifact Recovery
The only story is the beginning and the end with nothing inbetween, I will say the transition from curator into silly looney-bin fellow was comically amusing. Hence the high score for a simple achievement, which ties in well to why this game deserves such a high review. Every single thing, even down to achievement hunting had time, care, and a lot of effort thrown in!

Very grindy (almost a bit too much), however I enjoy the grind since I just watch YouTube. Brings back lots of good memories of original Runescape but it is much different and I like it. I can't wait to see the direction it takes!

The Most Disastrous BloodBowl

For this review I am going to break it into 2 parts:
Feb 23rd - 2023 - Negative Review.
(I will update the date and review when/if fixes happen)

A Customisation Nightmare
  1. Limited Customisation & Premium Currency
    • How do we fix this?
    • My suggestion is to add cosmetics that are earned through gameplay (Not a battlepass, which they will add in May). Ex. Every game earns you X Griff Oberwald Toenail Clippings (Working name) that you can use to purchase cosmetics that are cool, but obviously not as cool as the premium ones.

  2. Non Gameplay Impacting Cosmetics
    • You have models for different cheerleaders in the campaign. SO WHY CAN'T WE USE THEM
    • You have models for coaches unlocked during the campaign. SO WHY CAN'T WE USE THEM
The existence of cosmetics in Blood Bowl is so that I feel a stronger personal connection with my team

  3. Gameplay impacting cosmetics
How do we fix this? - I don't like to be the person who compares something to the previous game however, there are pitches that add gameplay adjustments.
    1. The Old World Alliance Pitch affects crowd surf and fan factor roles IIRC. SO WHY CAN'T I USE IT FOR MY TEAM
    2. You have a cool pirate ship pitch that has tentacles so why can't they grab a player if crowd served and cause a modifier to armour breaks?
    3. The Chaos/Nurgle pitches are awesome! The maggots covering the stadium are awesome but what is the benefit to the player?
    4. The Skaven/Dwarf Pitch has its own weather so why not let us use it!
All of these examples are already in the game and you can see it in the campaign. SO WHY CAN'T WE USE THEM

You didn't do everything bad devs, lets work together...

You did 3 things really well
      1. The Campaign was lots of fun and much better then the previous. However this game shines on the pillar of multiplayer.
      2. The new graphics and animations are really lovely to watch! However allow me to customise which cutscenes I see. Ex. I don't need to see the exact same crowd surf for the 53rd time.
      3. The formation editor in the team customisation is awesome! I'm glad it is a part of the game!
You probably did a lot of other great things that I am neglecting, but the bad overshadows it. Fix it and the game will shine
