Very grindy (almost a bit too much), however I enjoy the grind since I just watch YouTube. Brings back lots of good memories of original Runescape but it is much different and I like it. I can't wait to see the direction it takes!

Very relaxing and very fun!

One of the most enjoyable citybuilders I have played in a long time.

We defeated Sony!

For this review I am going to break it into 2 parts:
Feb 23rd - 2023 - Negative Review.
(I will update the date and review when/if fixes happen)

1. Limited Customisation & Premium Currency
   
   • How do we fix this?
   • My suggestion is to add cosmetics that are earned through gameplay (Not a battlepass, which they will add in May). Ex. Every game earns you X Griff Oberwald Toenail Clippings (Working name) that you can use to purchase cosmetics that are cool, but obviously not as cool as the premium ones.
   
   
   
2. Non Gameplay Impacting Cosmetics
   
   • You have models for different cheerleaders in the campaign. SO WHY CAN'T WE USE THEM
     
   • You have models for coaches unlocked during the campaign. SO WHY CAN'T WE USE THEM
   The existence of cosmetics in Blood Bowl is so that I feel a stronger personal connection with my team
   
   
3. Gameplay impacting cosmetics
   How do we fix this? - I don't like to be the person who compares something to the previous game however, there are pitches that add gameplay adjustments.
   
   1. The Old World Alliance Pitch affects crowd surf and fan factor roles IIRC. SO WHY CAN'T I USE IT FOR MY TEAM
      
   2. You have a cool pirate ship pitch that has tentacles so why can't they grab a player if crowd served and cause a modifier to armour breaks?
      
   3. The Chaos/Nurgle pitches are awesome! The maggots covering the stadium are awesome but what is the benefit to the player?
      
   4. The Skaven/Dwarf Pitch has its own weather so why not let us use it!
      All of these examples are already in the game and you can see it in the campaign. SO WHY CAN'T WE USE THEM
      
      
      You didn't do everything bad devs, lets work together...
      
      You did 3 things really well
      1. The Campaign was lots of fun and much better then the previous. However this game shines on the pillar of multiplayer.
         
      2. The new graphics and animations are really lovely to watch! However allow me to customise which cutscenes I see. Ex. I don't need to see the exact same crowd surf for the 53rd time.
         
      3. The formation editor in the team customisation is awesome! I'm glad it is a part of the game!
      You probably did a lot of other great things that I am neglecting, but the bad overshadows it. Fix it and the game will shine

Updated for Season 1
Pros:

• Numerous different biomes, each with different hazards and benefits
  
• Every mission is different and doesn't get repetitive due to the phenomenal world generation. (Other then salvage, all my homies STILL hate salvage)
  
• Each class has different abilities that make up a functioning team, however you can get by with duplicate classes but on category 4 and 5 I highly recommend 1 of each class.
  
• BEER! Lots and lots of beer! Some beer gives buffs for the next mission while some beer makes you fart uncontrollably (and hysterically).
  
• Prestige feels unique and provides new mini missions that are unlocked with a Tritilyte key. I won't spoil these since it is better to experience them yourself.

Cons:

• Each class has 2 different weapons for their primary and secondary, this does get slightly boring but would be interesting to have 3 different ones so I can create more ridiculous and entertaining builds.
  NOTE: Each class now has 3 primary weapon types (as of season 1) available and I have to say OH MY! Ghost Ship Games, you guys have done it!
  
• The ability to change equipment presets while loading into a mission. Would be nice but not that important.

Yourself, a crew, and a sturdy ship against everything!
Pros:

• Phenomenal ship physics.
  
• Interesting and unique types of damage from combat
  
• Quests feel different each time, but will get repetitive after the 100 hour mark.
  
• Cosmetics feel unique and you will RAREly see a pirate identical to you!

Cons:

• Other players WILL attack you
  Remember this game is PVP and you WILL lose your treasure to other players, keep a steady head and be aware of your surroundings.
  
• Few players per server
  This is a result of crossplay with the previous generation XBOX consoles meaning a maximum of 6 ships can be on 1 server at any given time.
  
• No ship size larger then a Galleon
  Personally I post 1 ping in my Discord and have a full crew instantly and 1-2 players are left out. With the Season 3 Expansion there are models for "The Flying Dutchman" and "The Black Pearl" and if they could be converted into a ship to support 6 players would be life changing! But the servers most likely can't support it.

The best pirate game on the market! With the Season 3 Expansion these are the best Tall Tales to date!

Pros:

• The Psychological Thrill of entering a haunted building to the dichotomy of a safe and warm feeling of being inside the van. I have not felt this since Metro 2033.
  
• The ghost types play differently and are all very unique
  
• Gadgets and tools all preform differently and feel unique

Cons:

• Bugs regarding ghost pathing are occasionally annoying, but not game breaking.
  
• The tutorial is way too scary for how the actual game plays (Maybe add the ability to do it with a friend but only for low ranks)
  Note: I did the tutorial in 2020, not sure if it has changed
  
• Your friends will scare you more then the ghosts, especially if they have a VR Headset. (Which can be a good thing)

For a horror game that I choose to play when it is not Halloween is phenomenal! Also it being made by 1 developer is outstanding! Hats off to you!
