The amount of times I have fallen to my death because my brain mixed up the correct button presses is astounding

A fantastic gaming loop of digging, explorring, gathering, and selling loot that made every trip down the mines feel rewarding.

Most of the upgrades feel wonderful since you can tell that they're taking effect.

Playing strictly for the story will probably take at most five hours, but the other caves are really enjoyable to explore even if they aren't required for progress.

The atmosphere, digging, exploration, and economy of the game are all fantastic.
While the movement has its ups and downs, the fighting in particular isn't nearly as impressive and is merely mediocre at best.
The story includes a few emotional moments but does not break any new ground.

Overall, SteamWorld Dig 2 is a charming Metroidvania about digging and friendship.

No Man's Sky is one of the few games that wasn't just abandoned after its release so that we could add it to the ever-growing pile of worthless, unfinished games that should never have witnessed the light of day.

The developers were actually allowed to sit down once more and complete their own creation exactly as they had envisioned it all those years ago.

Nowadays, it is genuinely enjoyable and functional.
Hello Games was able to save their burning ship.

First and foremost, this may not be suitable for someone with an eye condition, especially as both of mine began to ache after only one playthrough.

The Long Road North allows the player to float as an illuminated orb through a ravaged environment. Other, smaller orbs guide your path as you find yourself in a music video. There were several moments that conveyed a sense of urgency, which the music picked up on nicely.

The 10 to 20 minutes are most definitely well spent.
A brief yet thrilling adventure.

A truly thought-provoking game.

What happened before the game began?
What on earth is going on throughout your playthrough?
What takes place after the 'end' of the story?

Each player may create their own web of plot points to add on their ever-expanding whiteboard, which gradually begins to devolves into the ramblings of a madman whose brain has been operating on nothing but the finest white powder for the previous two hours this game should take to 'finish' for the first time.

And the music is a perfect accompaniment; while it may appear basic, those tunes touch your psyche and cause your spine to shiver in the most opportune moments.

One does not just play this once.

Again.
Again.
Again.

Until you too, are possessed by an endless frenzy.
