Europa Universalis is a grand strategy game by Paradox. Allthough it's already a few years old, it's still getting updates and expansions and if crusader kings 2 is anything to go by, it's going to keep getting updates for many years to come. I would strongly advice getting most of the big expansion packs if you have the money, but the base game is fine by itself. What makes eu4 so great is its replayability. I have sunk almost 500 hours into this game and propably a few hundred more into watching let's plays on youtube and still am finding new mechanichs and seeing something unexpected everytime i play. A fair warning though. This game has a very steep learning curve and I would advice going and watching a tutorial series on youtube first before jumping head first into this game.
