2D, side scroller, guns, free-to-play and an interesting aesthetic that leaves itself from the game after the intro!

This is fun in a Co-Op setting with some friends, but there were too many glitches/bugs that left so much to be desired, and some of which limited play!
If you're into cosmetics, this game is hilarious and perfect, with a $7.99 pass, I could see that being reasonable for some, but for me at this very moment, no thanks!

There were a couple issues in the game, lobby creation is very weird, no way to remove players at this time, rather, they added a option that says remove, but it actually removes your friend from steam, with a simple click of a button... WOW! The domination mode worked briefly, but then suddenly stopped, there are 4 modes in total, and all but two were working, until Domination suddenly stopped! The level 5+ mode, never worked even though we got to level 7, and unlocks and progress bars were finicky and not updating properly. Additionally the game starts you off in an open mic setting, so 90% of the players were mouth breathing, and there is no current way that I could see to mute them! Maybe there is, but it's not intuitive enough that I saw the setting! So, you can't talk with your friends in the game because of this, and you have to turn down your voice sound volume completely!

With that said, it's still early access, and free, but currently at the moment almost unplayable, can't even get lobbies to start on certain game-modes.

Potion Permits initial aesthetic will draw a lot of people in, and I was drawn in by it, but having completed the game, and I am at an 80% total completion point, I feel the need to speak about it, and its flaws. *THIS SHOULD BE A 7 HOUR GAME!

What kills me about this game, is how many little things it does well, but falls into the narrative, that more means better, and grind/force stop points are mandatory. There will be a time, where you spend hours grinding up for materials, there will be moments where you are confused where to continue... Don't worry you just needed to sleep, and then the next thing pops up, or another cutscene, it's so odd this choice, and it all feels so odd to me.

The first 5 hours of play in this game, I was sucked in! and I enjoyed every little moment, interaction, and thing! It then suddenly became this unnecessary grind fest, that is forced upon the player, meanwhile, optional upgrades that will help the game, (not the main story) are dangled right in front of your face, and those also require the same materials, as what everything in the main story requires. DEVS, it's okay if the game is a little shorter!

In the games current state, I would only recommend it if you can get it on sale for $3-4 like I did, but otherwise, until they remedy this terrible grind they've forced upon the player, the style and charm it gives off is muddied, and it's not worth a go.

This game can bring some great fun when playing duos, but it brings many headaches.
I am going to give you my 7 reasons, why this game is just not a good go right now...

#1 Players Lag switching
#2 Intermittent server issues
#3 No real matchmaking, brand new players vs everyone
#4 No relevant balance changes
#5 Disabling of talents rather than fixes
#6 Major Lack of content and God pool. (Which they are adding as I speak)
#7 Hi-Rez Studios deciding not to make this free-to-play

With all this said, the game state (despite the fun) Feels like it was released and available in a pre-alpha state. I'm not sure if it was pressuring from the studio, and they had a date in mind, but I think the game has promise. For now, outside of New God updates, I will seldom play, it has way too many issues to recommend, or even continue playing much more than to checkout new updates...

PS... Did I mention their twitch drops (for free game keys) has been broken for a long time, and they are not sure when it will be fixed? I rest my case.

I was recently able to pick this up (Including dlc) for a dollar, I had no idea that this game existed, and I am so glad that it does! AVICII Invector is a game that will hit all those nostalgia buttons, reminiscent of Frequency (2001) Amplitude (2003) and Audiosurf (2008) Even if you were unfamiliar with Avicii, this game will bring you into the light. It's a great rhythm game, with lovely visuals, and a short story as well. This game is worth every penny on sale or not, within an hour of play, I had to buy it 3 times more, and send it off to friends! because it was that enjoyable of an experience!

Play it or die. Simple.
