Early Access Review
There are more original, more polished, more expensive games that I have bought that I have not gotten this many hours of fun out of. It's no masterpiece but it's a blast with friends and that's unironically all I care about.

"Oh but muh plagiarism, oh but it's a Pokemon ripoff, please think of the multi-billion dollar corporation, Nintendo please sue this man!"

Shut up, who cares, it's less than $30 and it's fun. Literally what more can you ask of a game other than to be reasonably priced and fun? Hope the runaway success of this scares Gamefreak into putting even a modicum of effort into the next mainline Pokemon game because that "please understand we're a small indie dev" crap ain't gonna fly no more.

Like most TellTale games, it's pretty janky but still enjoyable. Lots of fun details. I know they went under (I think?) but when are we getting another one of these where you play against Sterling Archer, Biff Tannon, Bigby Wolf, and The Scout?

Very cool little game! The mechanics are pretty basic and I'm not sure the player customization would justify a replay of the story for me, but the setting is very well-realized and the gameplay is very fun. I appreciate a game in a gritty setting that allows you to play a gritty character; at one point I stole a ring off the body of a dead mental patient, lied to his only friend that I didn't find the ring, then sold the ring to a fence and used the money to buy drugs. That's how we do things in the shadows, chummer.

Decided to give this a go because it's been sitting in my backlog for years and I can't fit BG3 on my hard drive right now, had a good enough time that I'm wishlisting the other games in the series and dipping into the workshop to see what user-generated campaigns are worth installing. Highly recommend.

Aggressively cute and charming. Short and sweet, doesn't overstay its welcome, but is really deceptively challenging at times. Wish every level was as good as Midnight Bayou and Thunder Creek, but I literally got this for half the price of a Bang energy drink at Wawa so I'm not gonna complain.

Readability is sometimes difficult and Piranha Jungle had me swearing like a sailor but other than that this is a lovely little game, would like to see another like it.

Really hits that "easy to learn, hard to master" sweet spot. Great visuals and music, super fun roster, only downside is there's hardly any single player content outside of Arcade mode. Woulda loved a proper Story Mode that isn't just 4 hours of cutscenes. Regardless, ArcSys makes the good fighting games, when's Baiken, the smell of the game, etc.

A bunch of dwarves work for a shadowy dystopian megacorp that fills them with beer and throws them into planets infested with what you get if a facehugger from Aliens latched onto the bread monster from TF2. They sing songs and mine ores and drink beer and kick barrels and why the ♥♥♥♥ are you still reading this get this game and start digging for the good of the company. Honestly one of the best co-op experiences I've ever had. Insanely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fun, oozing with charm, support these devs because they and this game are cool as ♥♥♥♥.

Imagine Mahvel but every character is that one sprite of Psylocke. You know the one.

UPDATE: Very fun game but I can't support devs removing content, especially content in a game that was crowdfunded/that people specifically spent money to acquire. I'm not gonna pretend like the stuff they censored is the most important thing in the world but it sets a really bad precedent and I can't recommend new players pick it up if this is gonna be their approach from here on out. Nobody who actually played this game was complaining about the stuff they changed, especially at this point in the game's lifespan. Damn shame.

Imagine a park sim where your ability to do anything is dictated by resources that need to be farmed via timed cooldowns like a pay-to-win mobile game, only there's no option to speed up time. So half the game is just scrolling through your phone as you physically wait for scientists to dig up fossils and trace dinosaur genomes in real time.

It's got a lot of great ideas (like managing the power grid) and the presentation is gorgeous, but man what a boring mess of a park sim. Expected way better from the utter legends who gave us Planet Coaster.

It's kind of a buggy mess that crashes every hour or two, but dammit it's *my* buggy mess. BIG IRON/10
