Insurgency Sandstorm scratches all the itches that you wanted, and even some you didn't know you had.

Pros:
-The atmosphere in the heat of battle is frantic and thrilling, and you can really feel all the shots you take.
-The sound in this game is absolutely incredible. There is absolutely ZERO difficulty in locating the direction and location of a shot, unless you are already dead of course ;)
-Time to kill in this game is EXTREMELY fast, with most guns taking only 2 body shots, and of course every gun headshots in 1 shot.
-Gunplay is tight and responsive. Recoil is heavy, and close quarters and long distance fights feel great.

On to the cons:
-There is currently no way to kick a griefing player from a match. This has been purposely left out of this game in favor of a system in which friendly fire, once past a certain damage amount, is returned back to the offender.
-The game has a steep hardware requirement for the time being. Having a monster setup certainly can power you through, but dated tech is going to suffer, and so will you.
-Graphics and performance optimization is still being worked on, meaning that there are issues that happen in the game that can cause stuttering, big frame drops, and other issues that make the playing experience feel less smooth.

Overall, I am absolutely in love with this game. The competitive game mode (firefight) provides a fun and unique experience in the competitive sense, and it rewards players who play tactically. I HIGHLY recommend buying this game if you were ever a fan of Squad, or R6 Siege, or even someone who hasn't played milsim/tactical shooters at all!
