Swimming has played a huge role in my life. (Not sure If this should be kept as I am trying to decide if it is too long of an intro) Fear is something that plays a crucial role in our lives. It allows us to stay away from dangerous things that may cause us harm. Then there are irrational fears where we have no reason to be scared such as clowns that live in sewers, but we are scared of anyways. My fondest childhood memories was swimming for the first time. It was a bright and sunny day, I was just four years old and I was going to the pool for the first time(little William was like really little). I was very scared of the pool water, because I thought I would drown due to how deep the pool was or I was going to just get eaten by a shark(cause sharks are always in dark areas of the water). However, I had my new Mickey mouse floaties that I had unboxed that morning, which means I had that extra swagger and Mickey mouse does give that extra bit of confidence boost
