I really underestimated how much I needed a game like this, being able to change my mind from high gear to low and just chill.

I like the concept of the game where you are send out to help clean up and restore communities.

The map so far feels quite big but also not too big.

There is still a time cycle to set the ambience but it skips night so you never end up in darkness ( I honestly always skipped night in SnowRunner anyway)

The game runs smoothly on a mid to high gaming setup and only a few issues that I picked up so far, the Paver seems to have a hit box that feels like it may be clipping into the ground a bit and I got yeeted once by a bush, that's it, that's all I have after 14 hours of game play so far, compared to other developer's games that released with pages and pages of bugs, and knowing the devs they most probably are already with the fix.

A lot of people also complain about there not being damage and fuel, I honestly prefer it this way it is why I can sit back and relax as much as possible and still have a fun time playing the game.

This leads me to my next point, the game supports MODS from the start so although I enjoy the game as is there are still a lot of players that feels the game is lacking. I see this as a positive in a way as well, we have a fun and enjoyable base game to start out on and with the modded community we will be able to slap together a game that has a bigger variety and fits each individual's taste.

Is the game linear and not open world? well yes and no. the story and missions are linear so far however you are still able to drive around the map and repair/build roads where ever you want so it still gives you that freedom, perhaps the game opens up a bit more as you progress further I am only on the second part of the map at the moment.

I hope this review sheds some light on the game at the moment and I will most probably add to it as I get further in the game.
