Early Access Review
I've changed my review due to the developers censoring parts of the game that added shock and tone value. Guess they sold out to greed by wanting to appeal to a younger audience and change the games rating on consoles to sell more copies. Censorship of an art-form is not good, it takes away from the impact a scene has on the player. Thumbs down void, until you change the game back to how it was in terms of censorship. Your original vision should stay true. I mean, if Cyberpunk on PS5 can have a woman roaming the streets with her genitalia visible under a see-through skirt, I'm sure you can leave your game as it was. Maybe put more effort into improving the AI.

Boring, not a great showcase of the game to come. The sound design needs some serious work too. very basic sounds.

So far, so good. I loved the first game, and this has the same sort of feels with exploration, parkour and combat. I'm really liking the nighttime looting, looking for valuables and upgrade containers in the dark depths of the map. I've personally not encountered any significant bugs thus far. Had a few audio glitches, but nothing game-breaking. The game seems to run at around 60 fps on high settings using DLSS set to quality on my RTX2070, so no real complaints with the performance. If you liked the first game, then I'd say you'll most likely have fun with this.

So, after 30 hours of playing the game solo, I have to say it's not overly friendly to solo players. It's a lot harder dealing with some boss-like wildlife on your own. Being under-prepared often leads to a death loop unless you spend time building weapons such as firearms, which can take hours. You cannot keep your items after leaving the planet, which means you have a constant groundhog day type loop every mission, starting all over again each time. This makes me not want to spend hours crafting the more complex items. What's the point? It's all lost on the next mission. If they could add a game mode that makes the solo player buffed to do more damage or cause the high-level enemies to be more balanced, then it might be a little more enjoyable. Also, keeping a stash on the planet would be good. It could be a container similar to where you find the mission scanners. Adding this option would allow some of my hours of crafting and gathering worth it for the next mission. Making these changes would give a faster start for a solo player as it takes so long to prepare all this stuff. Yes, you can buy items off-mission using credits earned from missions, but these missions pay so little for the time it takes to complete them. It just feels like too much of a grind.

I like the survival elements, and it's an excellent concept. I will continue to play and hope they make some favourable changes to the solo game.

Early Access Review
There seems to be some potential with this game. It is early access, so what I have to say needs to be taken with a pinch of salt. The game looks quite nice and seems to run stable enough on my RTX2070. There are deep mechanics at play here. I'm not sure if they are too complicated though. Casual players might find this to much of a grind fest. But for now, it's a thumbs down until devs change a few things. Firstly, it's not very solo player-friendly at all. Most NPC camps have large numbers of soldiers. Fighting them is a death sentence. Maybe with a lot of time and grind spent in the game, I could level up enough and recruit more NPC warriors to fight with me. Until then, it's really just a survival game with hunting and mining. Secondly, the run speed of your character is painfully slow. Even now, I have tamed a horse, even that runs slower than what I'd expect my characters sprint speed to be. It's really getting on my nerves. Not sure if it's devs trying to pad out travel speed or what. Maybe the running speed is tied to skills you upgrade, but it's really unbalanced and needs some taming. Combat is not that good, with attacks feeling slow and clunky. They have a directional attack system, which feels odd. They should streamline the combat to feel more like games such as Assassins Creed Odyssey or even Dark Souls. It needs fast fluid combat with dodge rolls and less complicated attacks. Resources are too slow to harvest; you need so many sticks to craft stuff; I'm sick of chopping trees. I'm aware levelling skills linked to this will increase yield, but it's slow going at the early stages of the game. My review is almost a positive one, and it will be if I see changes implemented to balancing the game as I've mentioned. But for now, I can't recommend it.

Queue Simulator. Can't play my character from launch day as over 3000 people in a queue! Not good that I cannot transfer to another server with the progress of my character. Got to thumbs down until something is done!

IMO this is an overlooked survival gem. If you are looking for a hardcore survival experience, this is the game for you. Yes there is a steep learning curve, but watch some YT videos and get your head around the important things such as how to purify water quickly and hunt for food. You will spend quite a few ours learning lessons from getting radiation sickness and getting ill from drinking bad water. It's all part of the learning process. Just make sure you check everything before eating or drinking it. If it smells bad, stay away, Never drink water from toilets, even if it says it seems OK when you check it. Looting items from dead animals or infected is a little lanky. You will have to drag and drop items onto the character picture and not the inventory slots for it to transfer. Not sure if that's a bug or not.

I spent around 20 hours just dying over and figuring things out. I do think, however, that the devs could have put some time into adding a survival guide at the start of the game. A book or note in your inventory aimed at new players. This would explain some of the most basic survival tips. That might have been the difference between more casual players understanding the game mechanics better. That could have kept the negative reviewers interested longer and helped them enjoy the game more.

The game has some awesome graphics, deep crafting, great sound design and amazing weather effects. Interesting areas that look post-apocalyptic, overgrown and rundown. Lots of hidden doomsday bunkers to find and sewers turned into makeshift camps. Some great locations to check out. I still have not had time to mess with the base building yet as I'm currently finding parts to repair a quad bike.

I for one am enjoying the experience and exploring the map. Now I can purify water and hunt for food (Found a hunting rifle) I'm good to go. I still have lots to learn, but I'm getting there.

Sure the game has some bugs, like all games, but it's highly playable and fun. If you are hardcore enough, you will have a blast in Miscreated. If not, then some modded servers offer a higher loot and less punishing experience. The official servers are pretty tough to start out. Not much loot at all. I guess this is by design. All survivalist should check this game out. I think it's well worth the money.
