Nearly two decades later, this is the spiritual successor to SWAT 4. It's SWAT 5 in everything but name.

Finish the Fight....Again!

I'm going to start this review by saying this is my favorite PC game to come out this year. This game came out of nowhere and caught me by surprise. The concept is simple, you and three other friends are ghost hunters and travel to multiple locations that range from your friendly neighborhood house to an Asylum. You have to use your tools to find evidence and track down the ghost haunting the location. Think of any ghost hunting show on you might have seen on TV and you get the idea.

You can go through these locations solo or find a lobby and play with other people. This is a game that is fun with randoms as well as with friends and makes for some really fun nights of ghost hunting. I've called this a role playing game in the past because people tend to really get into it with this game which is fun to see. It also has the scares and has moments of really getting to you if you play in a dark room. I'm really happy to see a small indie game get the attention this has and I'm looking forward to what is coming next. They've announced a prison level is in the works.

If you've ever wanted to try your hand at the paranormal and want to take a chance on a really cool concept, then this game has a lot to offer, pick it up. For $13 this is a steal for one of the funnest multiplayer experiences you can have this year.

The Thing (2018)

Resident Evil 2 when it came out back in 1998 was considered one of the best survival horror games of its time and 21 years later the best got better with the release of Resident Evil 2 Remake. RE2R took what made the original what it was and brought it into a new generation resulting in a game that is not only faithful to the original but adds things that expand and better the gameplay and story.

The story follows Rookie Cop Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield as they try to escape Raccoon City amid a zombie outbreak. You can play through each characters story in any order you like with a New Game + option to continue the story from the other characters point of view. This Remake also adds new side stories that you can play apart from the main campaign. The new map feature that shows you what items you're missing and where they are located keeps you wanting to explore the map and the quick inventory first seen in RE7 help keep the game moving at a quick pace.

Resident Evil 2 Introduced the Tyrant also known as Mr. X and he is here with a vengeance in the Remake. A great enemy that knows where you are at all times and is always tracking you throughout the RPD Station. Mr. X mixed with the zombie outbreak and other enemies you will find throughout your playtime help to create a great tension and atmosphere to this game that helps it hold its title of one of the best survival horror games around.

If you are a fan of the Resident Evil series or have played the original back in the day then you have already bought this but if you are new to the series or love Survival Horror games, the original was up there with Silent Hill 2 and is even better now with all the updates and features that were added to this game. Resident Evil has become a divisive series these days with the newer games being more action oriented but RE2R bring the series back to its roots of survival horror with limited ammo and health items. It's about as perfect a remake you can get and nails all the things you would have wanted out of RE2 in 2019.

Alan Wake is a love letter to anybody who has ever been a fan of a Stephen King work. I originally played this the day it launched on Xbox 360 in 2010 and to this day it remains one of my favorite games of all time. This game made me a fan of Remedy and the content they create with it's great writing and story telling to the gameplay that introduces aspects that even at the time were unique and to this day hold up quite well. Alan Wake draws you into its story with its amazing atmosphere and characters and by the end, leaves you wanting more. Here's hoping that one day this game get's a sequel because it truly deserves it. If you were a fan of shows like Twin Peaks or the Twilight Zone, you owe it to yourself to give this one a shot.

I've played through the Danganronpa series numerous times on the Vita and this is one of my favorite franchises out there. It's got great characters, a great villain and a great story. This is my personal favorite of the franchise but Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair is a close second. This is a franchise I would recommend to anyone looking for something different or just an all around great VN. This was the start to a wonderful franchise that I can't recommend enough!

This has become one of if not my favorite game of all time. If you are a fan of JRPG's, this is a masterpiece of a game. Nier Automata has great characters, a great story, and great music that all combine together to create something that is unlike anything you've played before. Seriously this has some of the best music in games period. The PC port has some minor issues, but they don't take away from one of the best experiences you can have if you're willing to see it through to the end. Glory to Mankind!
