RimWorld is one of the most complete packages I've gotten in a game purchase in a long time (I only just added it to Steam, but I've played several hundred hours via the direct download since alpha 9). Well-thought-out gameplay, incredible attention to detail, and a constant stream of content and progress updates from an actively engaged developer. It's easily one of my favorite games of all time, and I'm confident it will only get better int he future.

Are there nitpicks? Sure. RimWorld is simultaneously the most polished Alpha-level early access game I've ever seen, as in good enough to have been full-released a couple years ago, and in desperate need of a concentrated consistency and balance pass to ensure all of these brilliantly detailed little features and items make sense together. I don't think that should stop you from buying and enjoying this game, especially because the vibrant and active (and reasonably well-supported by the developer) modding community is so quick to provide solutions on the few occasions that the base game does come up short.
