Welcome to The Electric Mindset!
Who is Michael Electric & What is The Electric Mindset?

For as long as I can remember gaming has been a big part of my life. As soon as I could hold a controller I had one in my hand. When recording equipment and home computers got good enough to do so I started recording things. I used to record my voice to tapes and record game moments on VHS to make compilation videos. As you can tell I found out I loved making things. That love has lead to me learning all sorts of different skills. I make my own music for my projects, I write, I learned to edit videos with special effects, and so much more. The Electric Mindset has become something very important to me. It is where everything I do and have done is. At this point I am so happy of the things I have created over all these years that I can be okay if nobody ever sees it. If someone does though, I want to give them the best I have all the time.

I also try to raise awareness for ADHD, I have dealt with pretty severe ADHD all of my life. I am at a much much better place with it after working with good doctors and some trial and error. I had some a miserable time with it when I was young I had a really hard time with my ADHD. People just didn’t know in the 90’s what they know now and things could have been done a lot better early on but I digress. Feel free to ask me anything.

Thank you for being here.

The game clearly had a lot of work put into which makes it even more of a shame that I can't recommend it. You can catch up on why in under 5 minutes with my quick review video. Nice to see it is a little cheaper than what I saw initially but I still think it's best to wait for a sale on this one.

Pros:

• Cool enemy and boss designs
• Fitting music that sounds great
• Interesting and varied level design

Cons:

• Inconsistent controls make some situations a nightmare
• Game is hard but not fair. Way too often I felt like I died to something beyond my control
• Odd design choices regarding the currency used to unlock upgrades

I really wanted to like this game but in the end I found it more frustrating than fun. The short video review explains things better in a much more concise way but if you don't have the time let me leave it at this. Wait for a sale but keep an eye on this developer. They have a lot of potential in their team and they are close to an awesome game. I do feel that a lot of my concerns can be addressed with updates but in terms of the control issues I wonder how much can be done. I really do wish their was a middle of the road rating because this game would deserve it.
