I'd like to play it, but I've only spent actually ~5 minutes playing, and the rest of the time dealing with CTDs over and over.

Remaster good, Unreal Engine 5 bad.

Another example of UE5 both running like absolute crap, and ballooning the game's file size to 25x the original game. Does it look good? Yeah. Does it play well? For the most part, yeah. But yet again, UE5 just runs poorly with zero excuse to do so regardless of the settings you use. This, like almost every other UE5 game, leans almost entirely on it's upscaling and frame generation to maintain a playable framerate.

Oh, and forced ray tracing is never cool. If you manage to turn it off via the .ini files, the game's shadows while inside and in dark areas look flickery, fuzzy, and just plain bad.

Buyer beware. I can BARELY recommend this, but if you've got a lower end machine by any stretch, you're better off sticking with the OG until this *maybe* gets patched up.

So much fun, and so much potential for this game. Most fun I've had in co-op horror besides Outlast Trials for a long time. Give it a shot, only a couple bucks after all.

Let this one cook, fellas. Burn it if you have to.

It's still cooking... any year now...

Gigachad Battlefront 2 (2005).

- Works right.
- Isn't $35.
- Mod-ability.
- Functional servers.
-Not ~70GB install for poorly ai upscaled textures.
-Not a cash-grab.
-Probably already in your Steam or physical game library.

Lol.

A great, super fun classic game. But, unfortunately it's marred with bugs and other game-breaking/irreparable issues that render it completely unplayable for me. Buyer beware.

Fantastic zombie shoot-em up, gets very intense, very quickly as is true to the source material. Quite alot of replayability, but a lack of new countries hurts the game pretty badly. Definitely worth having a run-through with your friends if you can catch it on sale, though.

..Over'ere, Stranger...

The right way to do a REmake. I'm sure we were all pretty worried about what Capcom was going to do next after the Resident Evil 3 remake failed to live up to it's expectations, and the flop that was REsistance. However, I'm happy to report that the game absolutely blew my expectations out of the water, and then some.. albeit with some exceptions.

PROS:
--------
- EVERYTHING here in the new RE Engine is insanely beautiful to look at, and feel much darker and grittier than ever before. It definitely feels like the kinds of places people would go "missing".
- The new audio and soundtrack is dead on, and complements the atmosphere extremely well.
- The main arsenal is still fully intact, and every one of them feels incredible to use.
- A point shop where you earn Completion Points via challenges and achievements as you play where you can unlock bonus costumes, weapons, concept art and more. Including Leon's classic Pinstripe outfit and Ashley's plate armor set.
- Areas, and fights that were in dire need of reworks all got incredible facelifts, and feel far more fluid to navigate.
- Combat has been improved in every possible way. Moving while aiming and firing, the classic stun/kick/suplex combos, and of course the new and MUCH appreciated parry system to help deal with more aggressive enemies.
- The infuriating QTEs from the original are gone. No more reloading 10 times and breaking your fingers/keyboard to simply get past an otherwise easy section of the game. The fight with Krauser is now an actual knife fight, and not a matter of trial and error in a cutscene.
- Fun challenges, and new mechanics like the Merchant's requests for bonus Spinels, which can be traded with the Merchant for exclusive items, alongside the normal PTAS for goods exchange.
- The new voice cast for Leon, Ashley, Luis, and many others did well, and pretty much all of Leon's one-liners are intact.
- Boss fights have been reworked, and no longer are extremely clunky to navigate. Ramon Salazar is actually able to move in his fight, and pretty quickly at that.
- I cannot stress enough how thankful I am that Ashley is no longer a complete burden, and is no longer screeching your name every 2 seconds. This saves the player ALOT of sanity. You no longer have to help her climb, and catch her at every single drop/ladder.
- The crafting system allowing you to make ammo, medical supplies, and a few other bits helps tremendously.
- The Merchant's new requests/trade system is a very welcome addition, as is the ability to socket gems into most valuables in the game for extra cash.
- The new shooting range can be alot of fun, despite how frustrating it can be to 100% them. (Looking at you TMP challenge.)
- The introduction of storage for your weapons, first-aid sprays, attachments and knives. (which now deteriorate with use.)
- Yes, you can still save the dog. And yes, it still helps you fight the first El Gigante.
- More collectibles, and files that elaborate more on current events and characters.
- Mercenaries is back, and extremely fun, if a little bit easy feeling.
- Professional mode is back, and a proper challenge for RE4 veterans, including bonuses if you manage to finish it without using bonus weapons.
- You can now customize your Attache Case with new colors and charms, each with their own perks to aid you in your missions.
- An unintrusive, and lightweight stealth system that can make thinning out the herd with your knife a viable option before you must go loud.
- Luis plays a bigger role, with more voice lines and is more likable than before.
- New/reworked enemy types, all of which fit into the game's setting flawlessly.

CONS:
--------
- No chapter select makes it extremely tedious to go back and get treasures or finish Merchant Requests you may have missed if you had forgotten to save.
- Sometimes Leon's hitbox feels a little oversized, but I never felt outright cheated when killed. In addition, Leon sometimes feels like he has bricks for feet and the weird inertia he has can be very problematic in close-quarters if you get swarmed.
- The U-3 boss fight has been completely omitted from the main story, and added to Separate Ways.
- Separate Ways is paid DLC, when it was free in most versions and re-releases of the original game. As a result, I cannot yet attain 100% achievement completion despite finishing all achievements for the main story. Some Attache Cases and Exclusive Upgrade Tickets are also locked behind a paywall. (You can still get your weapon's exclusive upgrade with PTAS or trade Spinels for an upgrade ticket.)
- Ada's voice actress, while not terrible, really dropped the ball and sounds soulless and half-assed much of the time.
- Random performance drops in Chapter 5, and only there. Even with Ray Tracing and some other settings turned down, it can drop down into the mid-teens, with a solid 80+FPS throughout the rest of the game.
- The castle and all it's backtracking, though improved, still seems to outstay it's welcome a bit. Especially if trying to get the Burglar achievement.
-Puzzles, though some are improved, are often mind-numbingly easy and can be blazed right through in seconds.
- The P.R.L.-412 bonus weapon is completely gone.
- You can no longer order Ashley to "Wait". You can only order her to stick close, or give you some space.
- The classic laser sight can only be used on a handful of weapons.
--------

All-in-all, this game absolutely earns it's Overwhelmingly Positive review score, and if Capcom can continue to refine their new games like this, and we don't have a repeat of the disappointing RE3 Remake, the future of this franchise is bright.

Terrible version of the game, only thing going for it is the single-player and mod support as the multiplayer, no matter what, is a choppy and unplayable mess. Rubberbanding units, animations looking like they're running at 2FPS, soldiers essentially teleporting.. If anyone has a fix, please let it be known somewhere as this affects me, and a few friends and stops this game from being playable pretty much at all online..
