The dev keeps updating, and it's one of the simplest most visually appealing games I can think of. Still good - 12/03/24

It's good

It's amazing, worth the money.

The battle pass has killed all goodwill I had with this game. The price hike was fine but premium currency and a battle pass in a paid game is unacceptable.

Tacking on a couple things to this review because I thought it would be actually helpful. The combat system is better than Pokemon, straight up. There's more strategy and thought that has to go into your team if you want to stay competitive, and almost every Tem is viable in comp. For $45 you get more story than Pokemon, and your Tems will be lvl 100 by the time the story is over, so you have that. The side quests amount to nothing but fetch quests for the most part, a lot of them are incredibly tedious, and in the end not really worth it.

If you like Pokemon and you're looking for more of a challenge, I'd say give this a go. The main story has broken my dollar per hour metric so you should have stuff to do at minimum for 45 hours.

I went through the game 3 times, 1 blind, 1 100% Good, and 1 spoiler. I recommend everyone try this game if you like Undertale and Earthbound, this is the best of those.

Do not, just a time pit and hardware pit. AFKing is meta.

One of the best space sims rn, haven't played star citizen, but just in terms of economy, background story, and combat it's really fun, the exploration aspect is also really fun. The only bad part is how long it takes to charge the fsd.

Amending the review, the engineering is also long and tedious, if they have a way to streamline it, that'd be nice. As it stands right now it's insanely tedious. There's also a clear meta when it comes to making money too. You get a Type-10, find a profitable trade route, and do that for a couple hours, and then once you have enough money you can engage in combat. Flight feels good, if you want that space feel all you have to do it turn off flight assist. Still a great game but some QoL changes would be appreciated.

Got the game in Y1, it wasn't worth it then. I was a diehard D1 fan and that's not who this game is for. Now that I play D2 casually though, I would say it's worth a try, especially now that's it's free.

It took me 150 hours to beat vanilla, and that was all optional quests. If your looking for a boss fight, or intense battles, or both, this is the perfect game.

It has a small learning curve, but once you're over it it's super fun.
