I'm a fictional character and one of the two titular main protagonists (the other being Jerry Mouse) in Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer's 1940 animated series, "Tom and Jerry". Created by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera, I am a bluish-grey and white anthropomorphic domestic short haired mostly-mute Tuxedo cat who first appeared in the 1940 MGM animated short "Puss Gets the Boot". I was known as "Jasper" during his debut in the short; however, beginning with his next appearance in The Midnight Snack I was known as "Tom" or "Thomas". from 1940 to the present day, Tom and Jerry has made audiences around America and the world laugh their asses off, and Tom and Jerry joined the likes of Looney Tunes as some of the greatest animation marvels of the 20th Century.
