I bought this game for 15 bucks on sale years ago and after a few minutes of play time, it sat in my steam library never really given a chance to show its true colors. Recently, a few of my friends picked up the handsome collection when it went on sale and we decided to take break from our mostly pvp competitive multiplayer focused games and started up this coop masterpiece. After spending so much time in destiny and even more hardcore titles in the genre like Escape from Tarkov and Dayz, BL2 was like a breath of fresh air. Refreshing combat, loots is fair and interesting, an extensive skill tree makes what should be straightforward shoot and loot much more varied which is only made better by the large roster of enemy types. It's a great, fun experience that doesn't take itself too seriously, and that's a great thing in this genre.

??? I honestly don't understand what all the trash reviews are for this game. Like you've never disconnected in any game before ever? The game has good progression a good campaign and very fun mechanics. Like yeah, some mechanics are still broken but its only been out like 3 weeks. No need to stick a "STAY AWAY DO NOT BUY THIS STEAMING PILE OF HOT GARBAGE".

My opinion: Give this game a chance. It's much more fun than these salty ♥♥♥♥♥ would make it out to believe.

Words really can't describe how I feel about this game. It came out some time when I was in 7th grade and (thankfully) it wasn't as popular as it should've been where I lived. Its been 7 years since this game came out. I finished high school, got a job, and was finally able to afford a laptop and play this game. I've heard stories of how this game redefined visuals, and honestly, you can tell. The graphics and animation of this game are up to snuff with some of the best indie games available on Steam. From a 7 year old game, thats saying things. But what really drew me in and made me not wanna stop playing was the story. SEVEN YEARS OF MY LIFE spent dodging any kind of spoilers about bioshock. I never read or watched a single review about the first or even its predecessors, 2 and infinite, in hopes of savoring the storyline all that much more when I actually played it. And ♥♥♥♥ was I not dissapointed. Dark, abbysmal atmosphere coupled with some real spooks, and the ever inspiring respect demanded by each and every big daddy. That intense buildup leading to the massive reveal was some of the best story direction I've ever experienced. From this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ seven year old game. If you haven't experienced bioshock, the oldest of the series, buy it. Play it. I don't care if you're all about next gen graphics and streamlined gameplay, Bioshock told one of the best stories in this decade of gaming, and its absolutely paramount that you experience it for yourself.
