This game for me is a perfect mix of gritty action and deep strategical decision making.

There are many concepts learned in other simulation type games which I found translated perfectly here, such as radar discipline and electronic warfare. I found it a real pleasure to be able to reapply those skills here.

You play the game very much as the underdog from the start and have to choose your path, tactics and battles carefully, with a constant pressure to not sit still too long, you must keep moving. I think the balance here is perfect, you have enough time and space to consider your next moves, but not so much that you can sit back an chill out in one spot on the map.

Don't be put off by the fact that this is essentially 2D and to be honest I am not one to worry too much about graphics anyway, but I will say that the graphics are outstanding and go a long way to bringing forth the atmosphere of the game. I am stunned that a 2D game can look and feel this good.

There is so much more to this game than meets the eye and I don't think a Steam review can cover it all. I suggest you check out the manual on the store page and watch a few videos if you have not done so already.
