Great game! I can see myself get sucked in just like with Hades or Dead Cells if the learning curve is as natural as it's with Hades (the single best game in that regard). The movement could be a bit smoother but it could be only me needing to get used to it a bit more. Overall it's not a mistake to pick it up for that price if you're into that sort of games.

Absolute great game, I hope this sparks some more of this genre - I really miss the commandos-style-stealth-rts games. I never got the Commandos 2 multiplayer to work so this is something I hope we can see in the future, these games in multiplayer with some sort of skill tree and inventory so you have even more options would be killer. Besides my wish list, this game kills it - the unique skills of the gang, especially Isabelle are great, I still don't know how it is that her skills feel OP at first but then it's still hard to use them.

This Game is like a giant puzzle but better, it just feels so good to clear an area in a clever way after having a really hard time to find a solution. It's great if you just want to have fun for some hours and be on your way, but also if you like a challenge it offers a good amount of that as well.

Ignore the comments regarding the DLC - Yes the levels are recycled but in a fun new way and you shouldn't forget: this is a tiny studio doing some real niche work, so I personally like to support them so I can see more of games like these.

I have to admit I wasn't up on the hype train so the disastrous launch didn't bother me much. I haven't planned on playing it as I didn't have the hardware but then it was launched on GeForce Now and I bought it, played it for half a week, let it sit for 6 months and then got back into it.

First person is always a bit daunting for me as it can feel stressful but the freedom of gameplay made up for it. I don't have to feel alarmed if the enemy spots me, I can just mow them down. Yes it's very easy but I'm a casual player and this game is all about the story, also it's very pleasant if you don't have to feel stressed about your approach and can play around how you want to play the missions.

I had no major issues, I reloaded the game maybe 3 times during 54hours of playing, only one time was a game stopping glitch. There were some minor graphic glitches but I've seen worse - and there were no annoying bugs that made playing harder than necessary (looking at you Assassins Creed III).

There were, however, a few things that were annoying. The game doesn't do a very good job at explaining mechanics, I had to google a fair bit and I'd like to think I'm someone who gets mechanics quite fast. The crafting and modding mechanics especially were quite annoying in the beginning. As well as the menus but both gets easier as time passes.

Also some things annoyed me that most critiques picked up: the physics of the cars is mostly terrible, so I fast travelled a lot which is a real pity becasue the city is beautiful. I later preferred bikes (and the coyote - get that car as early as possible, it's so much more fun!). On the other hand I looked under the cars and they are modeled with an insane level of detail, I wish they'd put that much effort into the physics.

On thing I see as neutral is the earning of cash. Realistically it's fair, some things pay better than others but not really in a comprehensible way. If you do some quick assault or hit missions and sell the weapons (don't make the same mistake I made and sell the weapons and buy parts as you need them to upgrade), you earn enough for the good stuff like double jump and mantis blades both of which were insanely cool and helpful for the missions after. After I got these two items it was like the game opened up and was 50% more fun. Earning cash is a bit of a grind but it's not too bad, always fun and you usually have a goal that's worth saving up to.

Last but not least the story. I won't spoiler anything. This is the first time a game left me sentimental and melancholic during some missions. It's not like I have read in some media that the game asks the big questions of the future (if you read a decent dystopia recently those questions are in there as well) and it's not a big emotional rollercoaster all the time. There were games that left me feeling blue as I didn't want it to be over. This game is different. As I said there was a melancholy to it and the punk rock, dirty attitude with which it was delivered was right up my alley but I can now move on and maybe revisit in the future.

I'd recommend giving this game a chance even for full price. It's really good if you make sure you can run it decently. If it's ever on sale it's a no brainer. Gameplay is great, Setting is just the best of any game I played in the last 5 years, Mechanics are good, Technic is decent and will only get better and Story goes to eleven.

Great Game from a lovely team of developers. Absolutely worth to support. This game has so many decisions that you can't possibly forsee what is going to happen and how they will shape the future. I was really surprised by it and how it all unfold.

Funktioniert super unter Catalina, für Windows ist ja auch 64bit Prozessor angegeben, daher hab ich es einfach versucht und siehe da es klappt.

Get this game only if it's on sale and really cheap, install it, rock through the story as fast as possible and get rid of it. Just for crossing it off the list and know the ending. Or watch it on youtube. *Slight Spoiler ahead*

The story and ending is quite confusing, I have no idea what happened really. The fight against Haytham is really annoying because the only strong part of the game, the gameplay and cool moves aren't part of it. No map, no healthbar, jsut pressing 'block' right on time. The real finale is even more boring, following Charles, He is standing right in front of me but nothing happens, running back and forth suddenly cutscene from then on basically crouching behind him to finally make the kill but not even yourself but in a cutscene again. All this time the game focuses on him and then you just run after him on open street as if you stumble across him by accident. The stealth parts could be cool but killed guards glitching off roofs alerting other guards or they are so pre-made that you don't have the freedom of finding your own way. In addition there is no real motivation to do any of the side missions as the levels are huge and mostly boring. Bring me one huge Boston and bit of NY for some missions and I'd be in but travelling between so many areas doing the same stuff just in a different named area is jsut plain boring. As I said the cool part is the movement, the fights when you are sorrounded by 10 guards killing them within seconds. Unfortunately there is not much chance to use the knife rope to hang enemies which is probably the coolest move. I never used one bomb, the money is worthless as there is nothing to buy and only a couple of vendors anyway. I want one big city like rome or florence back that gives me the freedom of exploring and rebuilding and spending money. Again, watch the cutscenes on youtube or get this game really cheap and run through it, I hope the next parts are better.

P.S. I'm not really the guy for reviews but this game was (unfortunately) so annoying I just had to. The gameplay differs nicely from the last parts but leaves all what made ACII, ACII: Brotherhood and Revelations great behind.
