Project Sylpheed meets Battlefront II's space battles. The multirace mechanic provides pretty diverse gameplay for something like this, and the number of parts means that you can mitigate some of the negatives associated with each race or go for something very specialized.

It's just a shame that quick battles bother to have a lobby, since teamstacking is almost unavoidable. It's a very fun game when it works and the teams are balanced, but it's difficult to get to that stage.

(also, there are AI battles, and the AI isn't completely mindless most of the time. I've seen a lot of people grind up on these and then go play multiplayer when they are ready, with better gear.)

Personally, I enjoy it.

You can drive around the grand canyon in a pseudo-monster truck made from a converted supercar.

Is extremely fun, it's easy to see why it's a cult favorite. I do however urge people to look past the great concept and notice that a great bit of the difficulty comes from the wonky camera and tendency for the game to throw curveballs at you in the way of small animation glitches or getting stunlocked by some of the wonkier enemies quite easily. With that said, it's certainly fun and great to pick up if you're bored of the more mainstream shooter or RTS (or MOBA these days as it were).
