This game is NOT like it's original, but it will be a decent coop zombie game on it's own right in the future. I'd recommend it if you can snag it on sale.

Really fun game, but it's basically neglected in terms of content updates, and since this game was advertised as a live service type of thing, that's a critical flaw. In fact, Darktide's biggest "content update" was pushing out a bunch of stuff that was intended to be present in the game's initial release in the first place (But wasn't due to their own deadlines/internal failures).

And despite this fact, they still advertised them playing catch-up as a "free content update". Nah dog, we payed for that already, YOU were just late. In the world of pizza delivery I think we get refunds for that type of thing....

Anyway, it's a fun game like I said, but it's more disappointing than it is fun. In a year or two though, this game will most likely be really fun (Just like it's predecessor Vermintide).

I'll say this.

As someone who never even touched Overwatch until it came to steam for free and has 4 other friends who are skilled at the game and regularly play, I have been having an absolute blast with it. If you also haven't touched the game before, and you have a group of buddies to run this with, then I imagine you'll have a blast too.

I was enjoying it, I mean REALLY REALLY enjoying it.

Then the ending happened....

And I felt like Rocky Balboa donkey punched me in my erect tip.

This was the most underwhelming thing I have ever witnessed. This game doesn't feel finished, I don't wan't to "spoil" the game for you, but the whole "revolution" thing......it don't happen. Starting the revolution IS the end of this game.

And that is like....super lame, dude. Like I'll be honest, the gameplay itself wasn't all that great on it's own either, but I enjoyed it because of the interesting set-pieces, kick @$$ music, and the banter that would go on between the nazis as you sneaked up on them(Plus I was very excited to keep that sweet story progressing).

BUT THE STORY LITERALLY JUST ENDS!

Like someone at machine games just pressed the "F*ck you I'm tired and I want to go home" button and did EXACTLY just that.

Now when the games main story is over, you get to do these kind of side quest like things. But it's literally just "go to this re-used map and kill this guy" type of stuff. Which I personally don't like, but atleast it's something.

The main menu also has this countdown thing until some sort of "vault" opens. At first I thought it would tie in with something in the main game and would mean more story to come and I could feel my damaged weiner rapidly recovering, but now that I'm thinking about it, It's probably just the dlc.

And speaking of the dlc. THERE IS DLC!! WTF!?

This $60 single player game has a $25 season pass?!

A $25 dollar season pass that I'm probably gonna buy because I'm clinically ret@rded.

So look, this game is really really cool. Too much cool happens in it. But if I'm being honest, $60 is too damn much. If that dlc were shipping for free, like RE 7 is doing, then $60 dollars would just about be worth it.

I'm not say miss out on this game, I'm saying wait for a sale.(and wear a jock strap)
