I'm writing this review to put what I've been seeing mostly in the review section to rest. Like most I was double checking reviews because I wasn't impressed with the last two MotoGP games that dropped but I've always been a fan of the Ride games. So I'll reference the review I'm smashing on so everyone can read about the original review on top of this one.
Originally posted by Imagine Wagons:
I'm gonna keep this plain and simple, I track bikes and ride A LOT in real life. The physics in this game feel nothing like real life. Braking, regardless on how much of the front and rear I use feel like I'm sticking two pieces of bread together on my rotors to slow me down. Even more on the braking matter, I will be able to slam my front brake and not even be able to do a stoppie EVEN WHILE PUTTING ALL MY WEIGHT FORWARD. Turning/steering in general feels like I'm trying to corner a Harley Davidson Tri Glide at 90MPH. Zero feel on how my bike reacts with the pavement. Near IMPOSSIBLE to lose the rear with all the assists off, I can turn into a corner and ham-fist my throttle and the worst thing that happens is a little powerslide. WE NEED THE GRAPHICS OF RIDE/MOTOGP ANDDD THE PHYSICS OF GPBIKES!!!!. GP Bikes is so unpopular it's a shame. That game has physics down PAT.
I doubt this guy even looked at the bike settings screen for someone who "tracks bikes" seems odd to miss the electronics section of it. I will agree that when the ABS setting is max you can't brake like you should. Put that on one or zero and that problem goes away pretty quick. As for the stoppie I've done one at my settings but it's not that big before the front locks up. As for turning/steering that might be getting affected by the TCS or AW depending on the throttle. As for feel I'm not sure what he means because I get plenty with my settings similar to the MotoGP games so I don't know what to say for that. As for impossible to lose the rear I'm not sure what he means because you do if you try.
Don't always go by the bad reviews
This game is better than it's predecessor in a few different way but the same in some as well. The physics from what I can tell are pretty much the same as the last few in overall feel with some minor changes which is fine for being the game it is. It's not meant to be the hardcore game that MotoGP is and that's fine. It has the same difficulty slider as before but now there is a AI behavior drop down now so they will even behavior differently even if the difficulty stays the same which can bring it's own challenges if you play around with it. Personally I have mine set at 95% with aggressive behavior, makes it easier to stay ahead when I get there but hard to push through the pack in the first couple of laps. I'm not a big fan of the current career system compared to the prior game but it makes more sense for a "story" mode I guess. You can still gain credits and experience from single races and time trials so that's a good way around the story mode if you don't want to do it.
My takeaway from this
Overall if you were a fan of the previous games like I am you'll enjoy the changes once you figure out the settings a bit because that can be weird if you're use to a certain setting like I was. It seems a bit lack luster in bikes without the DLCs but that normal for Milestone to drop the free and paid ones over time. If you're new to the title give it a chance and mess with the different setting before hanging up the towel on it. It's a pretty decent game and a slight step up from the previous titles which is the normal trend for this title. This is a much easier game to get into and enjoy than the MotoGP games due to the wide spectrum of bikes to use along with tracks. Nothing against those games it's just not the same and that's how it should be.

My electronic settings are as listed.
  • TCS-1
  • AW-1
  • EB-2
  • ABS-1
  • It's the exact settings I have on my 2017 Aprilia Tuono V4.[/spoiler]

I really enjoy this game for what it is. It's a solid sequel to the first one because it adds many of the features and mods the community wanted. Road tools are similar to the road extensions mod with a few less road options and the new mixed housing is amazing in higher density areas. The add-ons for buildings are a sweet surprise that expands the abilities of just one building. Many people will get upset with the performance of the game overall but it's a city builder so you don't need 60fps. I run at a solid 30fps or more without issues depending on the zoom I'm at. Only issue I've been having is getting my cities to have a positive cash flow before the Tiny City milestone.

Okay everyone this is for anyone that has played Ride games in the past or riding in the real like myself. There are about 3 things I would bring up to let you know what to expect and how I believe the developers took this series in a more Sim racing direction.

This isn't quite like RIDE 3 or MotoGP20 so don't expect it to be

This was a rough one for me to understand in the first 30 minutes while playing for the North American racing licence. This game has a mix of RIDE 3's bike turn style in with the MotoGP20 kind of grip which makes it an interesting challenge for some who have never rode an actual motorcycle or understand the physics behind it. Bike won't really slide on most sub 400cc motorcycles like the R3 and RC390 but with supersports and higher it will. This is how real motorcycles work! It's not rocket science you just have to have throttle control and good riding lines and it will work perfectly.

You can't just jump into a racing series unless you've done the licence for it

If you're aware of how motorcycle racers get even started in racing then you can wrap your head around this. In the US for AMA racing you need to do a series of things to show that you can even properly race a motorcycle. I'm sure it's this way around the world no matter if it's more regional or international leagues so I'm not sure why people are complaining about this one. It's really simple to do and it gives you extra cash plus a free motorcycle.

Limited number of motorcycles

This is more of a educated guess based on what I know of development and how Milestone did the previous RIDE games. There is a big limit on the amount of motorcycles available compared to the other games which really doesn't bother me because they normally do DLC packs for this. Now to many that might steer them away but there were free packs in RIDE 3 which it seems no one remembered in reviews of this game. It takes a bit to development the code, visuals, and sound of motorcycle and they do use the real bikes to figure this out. I think it's to let the game live longer by dropping DLCs every so often that way people come back to use those new bikes. Just really a guess based on the 15+ packs they dropped for RIDE 3.

Overall don't let the bad reviews shy you away. If you don't like the sound of it come back after they drop 5+ DLCs but overall this game is an improvement in a Sim racing direction because most of the motorcycles act very much like their real life counterparts. If you do no electronics and you don't know how to ride in real life of 'course it's going to be hard some people are just not that smart. Just ride with the Normal or Advanced setting first then move to Realistic once you're comfortable. Also if you don't believe my credibility with riding just look me up under Instagram[www.instagram.com]. I post my sweet sexy 2018 Aprilia Tuono there (which the Tuono in game acts very much the same with the electronics turned way down).

If you don't know yet just buy the game; finish one of the regional licences, and if you don't like how it plays return it. However I would try it before listening to half of these idiots on here.

I don't know if you enjoy the tactical games but I've been finding that World of Warships is quite entertaining. It has many different styles of gameplay in one. You've got the all out in your face destroyers or silent killer destroyers. Cruisers that hold the defence for carriers and battleships or group up to create a wave of destruction with their rapid firing guns. Battleship are the snipers from afar. Carriers are the angel of death to some and a guardian angel to others. I really suggest that you personally check it out. Yes there is pay-to-have ships but I haven't seen how they give you an advantage over the others just simple the "elite" symbol that offers free XP. I personally have one of the pay-to-have ships from Japan. Its the carrier and I have found myself at a disavanage several times. Ships of the same tier are kicking my butt because their planes can be upgraded where mine cannot. Its annoying and makes me wonder was it worth the extra money for a underpowered ship. Either way I do recommend you giving the game a chance. Dont just play for an hour and quit. Give yourself time to unlock a destoryer, cuiser, and battleship before making that choice.

Early Access Review
"My goodness can I replay that?" That is one of the many questions I ask myself after playing a bit. I love the lively modding community (because I'm lazy with all that creative stuff) and the visuals are stunning with the physics I was completely pumped up while playing. So far my favorite moment is when I got a mod car stuck sideways on one side of the drag strip so I left it. Grabbed the drag racer hauled ass down the strip then when into slow mo. The carnage was stunning and my PC was handling it like a champ on ultra at the 144fps range.

I'm not gonna lie I was really avoiding this title for a long time. However it kept coming up on the recommended and it was on sale so I was like, "Why not?" My goodness have I been missing out on some really amazing moments that make even my own jaw drop watching the replay. This game not only has a very interesting story once you catch what is happening but the beat around the bush story line got me excited. One of the many games I'll give a good 10/10.

Thing about this game is that it's brand new from an indie developer. Is it rough around the edges? Yeah, but it's being updated/improved daily. Is it similar to XCOM? Yes, however it brings something new when you speak of XCOM. The way I look at this is that XCOM was all about stopping aliens where this is more of we've found a new home (possiblily) and we've got to fight to keep a foothold. Personally it's got plenty of room to grow and the base building is neat. I believe that as time goes on and the developer recieves feedback and ideas this could become as great as XCOM if not beat it (however it's most likely going to be equal).

Guys I'm going to lay this out straight. You will either love the game or hate it. Reason why I say this is that at times the servers just go out without reason or randomly kick you and rejoin the same game seconds later. Thing is about Siege it's the only shooter (other than Battlefield) that has a true destructible map. Yes there are places you can't destroy or can't crumble the building but when you can shoot through a thin wall and get a headshot on an enemy it gives you true pleasure knowing that can happen. I've gone into rounds where the whole map is just torn up because of the firefighting and it just beautiful to see compared to many other shooters. They are also some great moments which you can't get on any other shooter out there currently. For example, we had a teammate score the last kill off of Twitch's shock drone. That was purely amazing to watch and I'm soooooooooo glad I recorded it. To see that in action go to the video on Plays.tv here: http://plays.tv/video/57d229d04411f1c036/got-em-dronekill-finalkill-sneakattack?from=user. Siege will give you plenty of hours to enjoy and from what rumors have been floating the internet it's possible for another season pass which means another 8 operators, 4 maps, and new weapons to enjoy for another year if not longer. 10/10 gonna keep playing until the servers stop.

Within the first five minutes of the campaign I was able to:
-Wake up chained to an altar
-Beat the ♥♥♥♥ out of demonic possessed humans
-Glory kill multiple enemies

I'll just keep playing as a badass. 10/10 for the pleasure of glory kills!

-Day Two: Attempt to beat AI controlled Ragdoll Fail
-Day Three: Attempt two on AI controlled Ragdoll laid the smack down
-Day Four: First Multiplayer match: Black belt tears me apart.

-Hours later I'm sitting at Blue belt waiting for my chance to rip apart a noobie.

10/10
