Risk of Rain 2, as I'm sure almost everyone knows, is a 3rd person Rogue-like, meaning no run will be the same as the next. It is chaotic fun, but takes some getting used to, and is indeed not up everyone's tastes. But that said, nothing is up to everyone's tastes. You can play it solo or Co-op, with friends or with random players. Any of those three options can be fun, though I do warn that you may run into loot-goblins playing with randoms (or even with friends, but at least you can actually talk to them.)

There are three levels of base difficulty, Drizzle (Easy), Rainstorm (Medium), and Monsoon (Hard) (which you can vote on in lobbies), however, in game you are set to a timer and an ever sliding difficulty scale, which makes the game harder as you proceed on, said scale has 9 levels of difficulty, Easy, Normal, Hard, V. Hard, Insane, Impossible, I SEE YOU, I'M COMING FOR YOU, and HAHAHAHAHA... The latter being infinitely scaling. This of course means that the game requires you to balance speed with looting, because without loot, you will die, and if you take to long, you will die, no matter how much loot you get. I would get into my own formula for speed and looting, but this isn't a guide. You enter a level, locate the teleporter, kill things for money, loot along the way, and then kill a boss as the teleporter charges (by the way, money isn't pooled between players, but I believe you get a cut of money for every enemy killed, not sure though.) The goal of the game is to get to the end, of which there are 3 (that I'm aware of), one being a more story focused ending involving a puzzle and a tough boss fight, and the easiest to get to (everything considered.)

The game being RNG based means that it can be a complete ♥♥♥♥♥ to play, or you can get a godlike run and easily cream most things that get in your way, or anything in between. You can very easily get annoyed at the game, but still come back for more once you've cooled down (there's nothing worse than being deep into a run and being done in by that STUPID ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ LESSER WISP.)

If you like rogue-likes, then give this game a try, and you might end up loving it. If you get irrationally angry at bad RNG/getting shwacked an hour into a good run, then probably don't... Unless you like that sort of thing, I don't know, I'm not your boss. I personally recommend it, but I have been played it for years now, so I'm definitely biased.

If you like Civ and 40K, this is your game, but keep in mind that there is no diplomacy, there is only war.

If you're looking for a semi-casual spaceship combat game that has slow going matches, than this is the game for you. Sure, the controls are quite confusing at points, but I've had some fun with the game.

Some suggestions I have:
- Make the remaining team win in case the last of the other team quits before being destroyed; a few times, I have had to quit after all of the enemy team had left, giving our team no win, per se (not that it really matters), or we end up having a shootout between friendlys untill one of us dies, which triggers the winning screen for some reason.
- Either speed up menuvers for corvettes, or slow fighters down a notch.
- Each ship's weapon bindings be somthing along the lines of the following: 1 = Main Weapon (Energy Cannons for larger ships/corvettes, autocannons for the fighters) 2 = Naval Rifles (for lack of a better name) for larger, torpedos for Fighters 3 = Missiles (as far as I know, only destroyers and above have this, maybe the laser Corvette?) 4 = Deploy Drones (When applicable.)

Spore, an older game in which there are two types of players; The normal ones that make random creatures that look rather interesting, and the ♥♥♥♥ creators, people who solely bought this game to make penis flavored creatures (or just ended up doing that out of bordem).

What's not to love?
