Possibly the strongest pacing and characterization in the entire series. The apex of classic JRPGs.

I like many things about the game (the world, music, job system), but it has terrible pacing. Much worse than IV or VI. This version in particular is missing a ton of content.

Runs poorly even on 3080ti even with ultra-performance dlss. This should *not* run worse than Cyberpunk. Also the Nvidia product placement in game was excessive. A hidden 4080 here and there might have been cute, but slapping bright green QR code stickers was not it.

Additionally I'm disappointed that this didn't ship with new maps designed to showcase the new features, instead relying solely on the base game that really just isn't a great showcase most of the time. Some new assets like the super button look fantastic, and the RT features in general do work well enough. It's just very hard to enjoy at sub-60 fps.

Feels like a natural evolution of the original's combat. Music is fantastic.

It's fun to run around and plant mines.

Although the PSP version is better, this isn't a bad way to play FFIV.

Good expansion. I hope we see more of Rose in the future :)

Fashionably late, but better late than never.

I admire a lot of things FFII attempted, but it isn't worth playing. Inexcusable dungeons designed to annoy and waste time. Very bad character progression system. Almost no good songs.

Also the Soul of Rebirth epilogue is completely absent.

A "lite" MegaTen experience with a neat premise. Good music. Demon fusion is always fun.
