I gave in after months of praise and HD2 didn't disappoint. What i'm liking the most here is the decision to reward players for completing the main objective whether the team can extract or not. Helldivers are expendable, just send in more meat to the grinder.

That decision is surely cutting down on any griefing or anger that could happen when the team is unorganized or being mauled to death.

For all the times i've killed or been killed by another player we just get back in there and start blasting, no complaints.

A good game that's a few fixes away from being great.

They nailed the feeling of classic Sonic but the later boss design and some of the music isn't up to classic series standards

Nothing a patch can't fix

First impression is that it's a solid port. No performance issues and my ZhouSensor DIVA Pro controller works as it should.

I feel the amount of content for the price, VIP edition $60, is fair and the possibility of more songs down the line has me excited.

I'm glad the Project Diva series has finally, officially, released on PC.

I'm managing 60 FPS most of the time in the open (beginning areas) with a GTX 1060 6GB and I5-8400 on mostly Medium settings at 1080p and that would've been fine if not for all the stuttering. Most are a minor annoyance and happen quickly but some bring the game to a near stop and then speed the game up to where it's supposed to be. RIP if you're fighting anything.

Wait for fixes before buying.

They absolutely nailed it with their implementation of rollback.
The online experience besides the netcode needs some serious work. They went and unnecessarily tried to reinvent the wheel and now we're all struggling with it.

It's still recommended because the quality of the netcode once you get a match going is incredibly good.

It looks so pretty

Since playing Mania i've gone back and played S3&K, my favorite of the Genesis era, and I can say without hesitation that Sonic Mania is the best of that design. The improvements to framerate and animations alone elevate Mania to a level beyond the Genesis games. Mania is the most consistently good Sonic game i've played, from start to finish an S+ tier game. Excellent level design, bosses, music, and special stages.

I've gone from regretting ever stepping foot in Chemical Plant Zone to loading Mania just to play the remixed version; absolutely unbelievable.

Sonic Mania is a miracle of the universe 10/10.

Time for another round of THRILLS!, CHILLS!, KILLS!

What I appreciate most in a series like this is how the game handles difficulty.
It's written and designed assuming the player has played the first game in the series to completion.
It wastes no time getting the ball rolling and letting the player know the game is going to be completely bananas.
The first trial for example is as long as the last trial in the first game and is similarly difficult. Most of the mini games and features that were slowly introduced throughout the first game (white lines, multiple bullets, hangmans gambit, etc.) are present in the first trial and some new ones are introduced.

If you liked the first game there's no good reason not the play Danganronpa 2

And if you like twists get your M.NightShyamalan.jpg ready because you're going to need it.
