This game has some real potential in it, sadly badly hampered by day 1 server issues. Their Trello has the several major bugs people have had and they seem to be working on them at this moment (several server restarts & hotfix deployments have been done, according to dev sources.)

Give it time, I reckon this'll be a gem.

I enjoyed my time playing this for a good while, but honestly, it's gone to s**t.

I don't remember the last time something was done about the constant and obvious alt-ing done by players to gain an advantage. Admins and moderators response to this is...do nothing. Which is typically their go to response for a lot of the concerns that get raised about the playerbase, from said playerbase. It's not even the fact that people are doing it. It's the fact that it's obvious and the response is radio silence.

If you get this as a new player, take heed; the playerbase for the most part is usually okay-ish, but the sheer amount of toxicity and childish behaviour will bring you down eventually. Coupled with the constant balancing issues that occur between the two factions (that ends up causing MORE toxicity), this game is just not that fun.

Once, it was great fun. Now it's heading to the bargain bin, and that walk to the bin is getting faster day by day.

Really enjoying this game so far, liking the whole idea of defending anywhere (almost) that you wish. Though, elevation isn't a thing right now and locally we have a castle on a hill I went to try and defend...to realise it doesn't exist. Yet (it's on the roadmap). In the future I'm looking forward to it though!

Couple of gripes, however;
UI is slightly wonky at times, but nothing too major. Maybe making some buttons clearer (or annotated) would help a little bit.
Had a car drive around in a circle for about 20 minutes as it's pathing shat the bed but eventually corrected itself.
Did crash while trying to download(?) a map elsewhere a couple of times but sorted itself.

For early access, this shows promise and I'm looking forward to seeing what it comes up with!

Solid 7/10.

Honestly, I didn't know what to expect from playing this. As someone who has played all of the STALKER games, playing one in a sort of minecraft-esque appearance and seemingly arcade-y, I took it with a pinch of salt when I first loaded it up.

Man, was I surprised.

This game is actually a hell of a lot of fun. Progression is actually fun and the story is decent (ngl I haven't paid that much attention to it), gunplay is pretty balanced and I like the different armour classes and all their different strengths and weaknesses.

I've played this both solo and with friends and it's kept us engaged quite nicely.

The only real negatives I have about it is the AI accuracy is either "We're gonna pepper everything near you as a warning" and "You step within 100m and we're taking your head off immediately". It's a bit strange but you can work around it, just be very careful how you approach each fight.

For the PvP, honestly I've been having loads of fun with it. Have I run into any cheaters? Don't know, can't tell to be honest, as every death I've had to players has been my own fault (running in the open, not paying attention, too busy looting the cache of the bandit camp I wiped out etc etc).

Snipers definitely have the advantage in some areas (I'm looking at you, Cordon) but that's the same with any shooter. If you're dying a lot in PvP, just practice and get better. Soon, you'll be wiping squads as a solo. There's nothing more satisfying than that...well, apart from rare artefacts. Those get me wet.

So far in this game I have;

Broken someone's leg by punching them in the face.
Got run over by a train and apparently healed up overnight.
Been attacked in a bar brawl because I stole someone's hotdog.
Had my manager lose me a match by throwing a crutch into the ring that somehow injured me before tapping out to a headlock.
Got into a 6 man elimination match where someone died from a suplex.
...and nearly won a title before the referee restarted the match cos reasons, in which I then lost.

This game is a cluster♥♥♥♥ and I love it. I love it so much.

I really wanted to like this game, I really did. Everything on the outset looked good, a nice game of space intrigue, warring families and the fight to survive.

While it does include all this...that's basically it. There's very little other gameplay going on and, I have to be honest, the amount of events that fire off and the confusion they all cause when you get 3 raids, 2 rebellions and a proposed marriage to your half-cousin, you start losing track of what's actually going on. And that's in one turn, once you've sorted all that you then have to deal with the consequences of all that PLUS new ones.

Maybe I expected it to be like Stellaris, which isn't a fair comparison as they're two very different games, but I honestly felt very detached from what was actually happening. I understand there's some sort of story in all of this, but I couldn't go out and find it as my brother decided to run off with my auntie and start a rebellion near my core systems. There's a hell of a lot going on, and maybe I'm not playing it right (though the tutorial is pretty nicely done, has to be said), but this really isn't for everyone.

While I do enjoy some aspects of this game, I just can't get over how boring the general gameplay is.
Here's the cycle for you;
1) Spawn in as a juvenile dino and start looking for food and water.
2) Find food and water, survive till adulthood (this may take a couple of hours, depending on the dino you play as, as they have different growth times)
3) Either find a pack or die.
4) Eventually die with the pack anyway.
5) Restart.

That's it. That's the whole game. The chances of dying to tailriding predators (and even some herbivores, especially dibbles in my own experience) is very high, to the point where it's become the meta. If you get a tailrider, you may as well just lay down, for all the good running does for you.

I will say though, graphically it's quite pretty, and some effort shows in the designs of the dinos for sure, but apart from that, this game is as boring as it sounds.
