The number of times i have played a just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ *beautiful* turn and watched it a few times over is roughly equal to the number of times I have reloaded combat to try and do a mission just a bit better. Phenomenal game.

An absolute joy. Not a hardcore game by any means, but that isn't what it is trying to be. The nostalgia is absolutely pitch perfect, down to every approved for Saturday morning tv joke. The art style is cheerful, and it is a wonderful rogue lite to pass the time with friends with. Cannot recommend this enough

Also love all the 80s cartoon eastereggs

A simple and very fun game. Nothing deep in terms of strategy, If I had to call it anything I would call it meditative. Design is charmingly minimal, hit points = gold in some sense and that is so clever its nearly irritating. Its done well. I expect fully to play through it a few more times. AI hangups are awkward - but importantly predictable so its just part of the game, again, nothing deep.

Play it if you want to enjoy a nice pixel graphic setting and really well done music. The style makes just marinating in it for a few hours worth it. I found myself always finding time to do another "day" here and there which had a nice pick up and put down flow.

Only gripe could possibly be that as the game progresses your tasks become more and more cluttered but thats fine.

Also ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ - did they really make a mini physics demo for the coins in the bag? There is zero fat on this game, its impressive.

Far from most mobile ports, this is just an excellent puzzle game.

I was in love with the potential for this game. I loved dwarf fortress, psychonauts was amazing, what could go wrong?

I bought the early access copy since it was Double Fine, these guys are gamers, they get it, they wont mess this up.

Well the could be lazy and greedy and just release half finished ♥♥♥♥ when they get bored thats what.

This could have been a truly amazing game. Instead it is a half finished idea, you can still see the whiteboard brainstorm session.

Zones? Incomplete. Progress? Nonexistant. It is a gesture at dwarf fortress in space but instead of living up to their studios name they just ♥♥♥♥♥♥ off when the cash grab was done.

Every time I logged into this game I said to myself "okay, still a lot of huge problems, but Double Fine will fix it and eventually this is going to be the next iteration of dwarf fortress. I cant wait to see where this goes."

I said that every time I played this game for a few hours, dealing with horrendous AI was okay because hell, its still alpha. They will fix it.

I logged into steam today, saw that it was 1.0 and was thrilled. Oh my to go to 1.0 the AI must finally be good! They must have fixed all the hilarious behaviour where a guy repairs an oxygen recycler and then freaks out and dies, finally i can play a base that wont just come undone due to insane citizens after a few hours! Great!

I created a new base and was horrified to see the exact same ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ problems that made the alpha quite literally unplayable. The citizen ai will guarantee your base will fall apart after a few hours.

No matter how smart your contstruction, no matter how carefully you manage the base, some collection of events WILL occur and wipe your base out. And it will be because of the ♥♥♥♥ AI. like telling people to repair a hull breach but instead they all just run around and suffocate. Or when a base adds on to yours and you explore it but then your whole base thinks it would be cool to explore and then they all suffocate and die. My favorite one so far was a guy who refused to build a door to get out of a room even after making him a builder and watching him starve to death, which caused the entire base to become depressed and stop repairing things so the base falls apart.

This is infuriating and flatly unacceptable

I will never buy another game that has Tim Schafer in the building, and I will never purchase another Double Fine game. if this is how they want to play the game, fine. ♥♥♥♥ them.

also the DF = double fine = dwarf fortress?? reference can go eat a ♥♥♥♥. These people are the worst.

This is a conditional recomendation. Only buy this on sale. Only buy this if you have an xbox controller.

It is a fun game, with frustrating moments, ie you need to solve a puzzle the way they imagined or it glitches out, and the port is so lazy (you cannot tab between username and password fields. seriously.)

Also people have used memory editors to cheat the challenge system so dont question your sanity when the leaderboards have completed mazes in 0.023 seconds.

I was incredibly excited for this game. The controls are ♥♥♥♥, the "smart" movement somehow manages to convince you to never use it again after 3 attempts. The weapons are bland, the variation is really just clip size, and the classes are meaningless. Remember how a scout could take different paths through a map in tf2? there are probably only a handful of these instances and they are all afterthoughts. The game is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mess that I felt really bad for recommending my friends check out, because some of them preordered and started to send me hate mail.

My favorite part of this game is that when you compared what they said the game was going to do in the hype and what they actually delivered it made me nostalgic for the late 90s early 00s level of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ coming out of E3. I am not sure if this was some sort of industry inside joke, an homage to Peter Molyneux in which case 10/10

Quite a bit of fun, a platformer with some fun writing on top of it, a good sense of humor and an interesting story. I cared more about these rectangles than I did about most AAA title characters
