Early Access Review
Great game, most bugs are fixed, solid 5/7
The little details make this game great.

Yes, it's in Alpha and a bit buggy. Yes, it takes quite a long time to get full military gear compared to Arma 2/3 mods. And yes, there are almost no vehicles. But all server-hopping bandits and horrible glitches aside, the experience is great. First of all, you have to plan encounters with other players, because since gearing up is so hard, in this game you actually don't want your character to die. Second, the amount of detail in this game is pretty amazing. By that I don't mean graphics and physics (which are also great), but gameplay.

For example, if you accidentally drink/get force fed some raw meat, you might get sick. Your body temperature will rise and you will puke. You will need to keep yourself hydrated and find charcoal tabs to heal the disease. If you are getting soaked because of the rain or because of falling into water, your temperature will lower and you will need to find dry clothes or use heat packs, because if you don't, you will die of hypothermia. Or, if your pistol is in a chest holster and you get shot in the chest, your pistol will get damaged and be inaccurate and have a change of misfiring. You will need to find a repairing kit in order to properly use it again. And, if you find a car, chances are its battery is empty and you will need to find a new one in order to drive it.

It's these little things that make the game so realistic and more and more stuff is being added in updates every month or so, and the game-breaking glitches are also mostly a thing of the past.
I do highly recommend playing this game with a (group of) friend(s), though, because IMO it's more fun than being a lone wolf (which could get boring pretty fast).

Tip: if you have bought the game but are struggling to find your friends because you have different spawnpoints, run into a town and find a knife in a house, put it in your hands, press F11, and click, in order to kill yourself and respawn at hopefully your friend's location.

It's like Hotline Miami, except with more diverse levels, characters, weapons, songs, ....

10/10 would bang.

Yeah, I've got this game in a bundle, but it's not all that great. I mean, the graphics are pretty cool for a 2005 game but that's about it. So for the love of God PLEASE don't buy this game for it's full price of 40 bucks.

This game is perfect. You can use all thingstuffs from all Source games, which are HL2, HL:S, CS:S, CS:GO, TF2, Portal, Portal 2, L4D, L4D2, DOD:S, and the infinite amount of Source mods, and you can build stuff with them, but you can also play other player's gamemodes which basically turn it into an entirely new game, good examples are Trouble in Terrorist Town, DarkRP, Prop Hunt, Murder etc. Then there's the addons: weapons, vehicles, etc. And if you can program a little bit yourself, you can also create your own! So it's definitlely worth the 10 bucks it costs, and if you can't afford that just wait for the holiday/summer sale, because then it sometimes gets 75% off.

This is definitely one of the smartest games I've ever played. Not only does it involve challenging puzzle gameplay with the unique portal gun, it also features a great story, continuing on the tale of Portal 1 (but you don't essentially need to play that to understand this game). Another great example of Valve's magic. 10/10
