Sounds like typical gtav having issues with multiple audio devices, software audio devices, or passthroughs, etc.Short of stripping stuff out/force disabling devices in device manager (like nvidia hd audio/etc) to see if you can move the audio around to other outputs. Depending on what audio devices you have, may be better off just pulling it all and reinstalling it all clean again. Gtav really likes to spaz out on multiple devices. Have even seen various usb audio devices straight prevent it from launching. Of course, this was years ago and everyone just unplugged/disabled - vs needing the devices. In that case I'd be looking at usb driver updates, audio driver updates (or even downgrades), and preventing windows from manually installing whatever drivers it wants.

It isn't really a 'some' kind of thing on this problem - really have to cover the bases. If the launcher is stuck at the 'play on steam button' you don't press it regardless of what it says as that only further causes issues. Your post history has you talking about mods as well (and I would be sure they are removed til gtav works correctly). If you can't get it going with all that info in the link I just gave - more than happy to chat/teamviewer/whatever/you have to add me - but for now, it is sunday/my 'relax' day.
