Fun :D

Has potential as a super casual game. Bans and in-client tournament are great. Lacking competitively for lots of reasons. Recent tournament featured the same three heroes for each team in every single match. When players inevitably min-max ranked and quickplay, it'll be a struggle.

Issues I Saw:
-Spaghetti code: damage and ability cast distance being FPS dependent is insane
-Uninspired dialogue/extremely repetitive voicelines. Announcer is painful.
-Balance is lacking. Burst healing and overshields are lame. Team-ups are busted and seem that they will dictate the meta each season
-Some abilities being entirely irrelevant to characters (Hulk shield)
-Breakable terrain that rebuilds
-Overloaded character kits. Giving a character top tier dmg, damage boost to self and others, massive sleep hitbox, burst heal for entire healthbars, and a ult that fullheals, converts extra health to shields, and gives a speed boost
while she can damage boost those around her
-Bots in matches
-Insufferable community
-Thirst trap skins
-Third-person hitbox displacement
-Censorship of historical events and ongoing oppression. Free Taiwan

If you're a huge 40K, you'll probably enjoy it. Fun art, unique gameplay mechanics (not necessarily fun), and the ability to grind the faction of your choice. However, it's very pay to play competitive decks. If you were to play the game for free, it'd take you months to get one competitive deck. Lots of top tier decks seem to rely on combo mechanics (e.g., units cost 3 less this turn) that can be rather unfun. Compared to the quality and value that games like Legends of Runeterra offer; I can't recommend it.

Seems like they fixed lots of the issues and have upcoming content too. Worth the cost for what it is already - especially if you have a buddy or three to play with
