A Timeless Classic: Grand Theft Auto V

My journey with the Grand Theft Auto franchise began in 2016 when I was first introduced to GTA 5 at my friend's house. Watching him skillfully evade the police, diving into storm drains, ignited my fascination with the game. Back then, I owned an Xbox 360 E, a Christmas gift from 2014. Surprisingly, GTA 5 wasn't my first encounter with the series; that honor belonged to GTA San Andreas on the PS2, emulated through PCSX2. I vividly recall cruising around, soaking in the open-world experience.
Later, I delved into GTA 4, experimenting with mods and further immersing myself in the franchise. Despite not fully engaging with the story mode, I was undeniably hooked. After watching all the cutscenes of GTA 5, I knew I had to play it. On December 21st, 2016, at the age of 13, I finally acquired a copy for my Xbox 360, albeit under the alias Franklin Clinton, as my mum wasn't keen on me playing a PEGI 18 game. Unfortunately, a damaged disc led me to purchase the digital version, marking the start of my story mode journey, which took me nine months to complete.
In 2018, I received an Xbox One for Christmas, reigniting my passion for GTA 5. Transitioning to the newer console was bittersweet, especially with the closure of Xbox 360 servers, where I had amassed considerable wealth. However, the lure of enhanced graphics and gameplay on the Xbox One was undeniable.
The year 2020 brought an unexpected gift when GTA 5 became available for free on the Epic Games Store. With my recent GPU upgrade to an Nvidia GTX 1650 Super, I seized the opportunity, knowing the game would run smoothly on my system. Fast forward to the present, and I've conquered the story mode on Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC. Now, with the game on Series S, the thrill continues.
Watching YouTuber VideoKames navigate through her first playthrough of the game was a delight, especially knowing that even Ned Luke, the voice actor for Michael, was tuning in. Grand Theft Auto V holds a special place in my heart, its missions never failing to evoke a smile or laughter. As I eagerly await Rockstar Games' next masterpiece, GTA 6, I know my love for this game will endure. Framing my GTA V map and hanging it on my wall will serve as a testament to the countless memories and joy it has brought me.

P.S. The PC version lacks the love and support seen in the current generation consoles. Despite having the ability for mods, I'm not a fan of how GTA Roleplay has overtaken what made this game special. Nevertheless, Grand Theft Auto V is a masterpiece, and Rockstar Games should be proud of their accomplishment.

This game, LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes, holds a special place in my heart as one of my all-time favourites. Over the span of more than a decade, it has been a constant source of joy and excitement. I still remember the day in 2012 when I stumbled upon this gem at my local ASDA, with a large LEGO Batman 2 decal capturing my attention advertised at my local GAME. Little did I know that this game would become a cherished part of my gaming history.

Back then, I was just a 9-year-old, eagerly anticipating my upcoming 10th birthday. With a Wii as my primary console, I was drawn to the idea of exploring the world of LEGO Batman 2. Despite my initial inexperience with LEGO games, I took the plunge and convinced my Mum to make it my birthday present. The anticipation was unbearable, and I'll admit I was too impatient i played it before my big day.I navigated the game with a mix of excitement and caution, making sure to avoid getting caught by my family while embarking on this small heroic adventure. I recall the struggle at the just before the Riddler fight, I didn't know you had to break the red carriage to get Robbin's Acrobat suit. This is challenge that led me to establish the tradition of playing LEGO games on save file 2.

Fast forward to my birthday, where the game became the highlight of the day. The thrill of unwrapping LEGO Batman 2, along with a Star Wars cake, remains etched in my memory.

Countless hours were devoted to exploring every nook and cranny, collecting red bricks, mini-kits, and saving citizens in peril.

Time marched on, and even when life threw a wrench in my gaming plans, LEGO Batman 2 continued to captivate me. The struggles with Wii malfunctions and scratched LEGO Batman 2 disc couldn't deter my determination. After a brief hiatus, the game returned triumphantly with a new Wii console and renewed enthusiasm. The excitement of discovering the game's depths and unlocking its secrets was irresistible.

With the passage of time, my journey with LEGO Batman 2 took a new turn. Revisiting the game on various platforms and achieving milestones like completing the story TWICE in wone week and acquiring all achievements brought a sense of accomplishment. The bond I share with this game is so strong that I even watched the movie adaptation with friends, solidifying its place as an integral part of my gaming legacy.

As I sit here, reflecting on the past and my recent adventures on PC, Xbox, and Now Nintendo DS, I am reminded of the flying mechanics SUCK. But despite its quirks, LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes remains a timeless classic that has stood the test of time in my gaming library and soon to be LEGO Batman Collection. It's a testament to the enduring appeal of this title that continues to capture the hearts of players young and old, just as it did for me over a decade ago.
