I think the game runs on a cool idea, but the execution doesn't feel quite right.

Played it with a group of friends, I regularly play lethal company with, and we did enjoy the game for a little while, but then just quickly got bored, the game just "gets old" too quick, and we went to play lethal company instead.

I think the idea of recording a video in game is cool, and it's really neat you can save it on your computer, and some of the clips I've seen shared around has looked really cool, but I do wish you could upgrade, to get film that lasts longer.
And this is a personal thing, and you can ague it's not the game's fault, but I also feel like the funny part of the majority of the clips I've seen has felt forced, so it could be on the footage, where in lethal company, the humour kinda happens naturally, and people press a button in shadow play, or something, to save the clip.
The reason why I'm comparing this aspect is because I can't help but feel like the many popular clips from lethal company inspired the video recording mechanic, in the game.

Last thing, my friends and me never understood why we only had 3 days to become famous, it kinda just feels like "Lethal company only gives you 3 days, so we do too", but I feel like in lethal company, the time limit makes sense, you're at a job, and have a quota to meet, in content warning I can't really see the logic in it, especially because nothing seems to happen, other than a reset, when you miss the deadline.
Maybe, make a kind of level system, in form of subscribers your channel in the game has? The more subscribers, to more difficult the game could become, instead of basing it on how many deadlines you reached?

The game has a cool idea, but the execution just doesn't hit right for me.

If you like the first Subnautica you'll like this one too.
It introduces some new areas to explore, some new sea creatures and vehicles.

I'd also personally love to see where the story could go, after the end of this game, as the end of the game opens up for some exciting and interesting ways to continue the story, and I'd love to see it continue, not necessarily as a Subnautica, it could be a spin off game set in the same universe, that builds on the story, I'd just love to see more of the universe we see in the Subnautica games.

The game have a story mode and an arcade mode.

I've only tried the arcade mode briefly, I mostly got the game to see what happened next in Alan Wake's story, but it's fine, you pass some time with it.

The story in the story mode is fine, it's a lot shorter than the one in the previous Alan Wake game, and in my opinion, the story in the previous Alan Wake game is better than the story in this game. I do have a problem with the story mode though.
In the previous Alan Wake game ammunition, batteries and other resources didn't feel so easy to come by, this made the enemies feel more intense, it made them feel a bit more scary, in my experience. Thees feelings are gone in this game.
This game constantly showers you in resources, and I wasn't able to find a difficulty setting, so I could change that, and this comes with the result that the enemies doesn't really feel scary, or feel like a threat, they feel more like and annoyance, and it feels really like a let down for me.
On the bright side, the combat mechanics have been improved in this game.

The game is not terrible I'd say, but it's also not as great as the previous Alan Wake game.

One of my favourite games.
The story in this game is absolutely amazing, and makes me want to come back and replay the game again and again. Definitely worth giving a try.

A beautiful fan remake of the first Half-Life game, if you like the Half-Life games you're most likely going to love this game.

Don't buy this DLC.

This DLC includes a mortorcycle with a gun tower, a flamethrower and two unicorn outfits.
The motorcycle is available for free when you start the game, and it's a good enough starter vehicle.
The flamethrower can be crafted once you unlock the ability to craft elite weapons, which I think is fair because it is a strong weapn, or you can buy it for in-game credits.

The unicorn outfits each consists of a pair of gloves, a shirt, a pair of pants and a hat. The outfits can be bought for 700 in-game credits each, or you get a chance to unlock them by completeling The Island outpost.
I have now gone through that outpost multiple times and I've only unlocked the gloves and the shirt for one of the outfits.

I don't reccomend buying this DLC because it feels like I've paid real life money to add some content to the game I again have to pay real life money to unlock.
It is worth noting that you can uptain these in-game credits in the game though treasure hunts, however you can only get 450 through this method, not enough if you want to buy an entire unicorn outfit.

The game is good for when you need to waste some time, however I can't recommend it because one of the achievements.

One of the achievements requires you to collect 20 legendary dwellers, from what I could understand you can get legendary dwellers from lunchboxes and quests, but it's very rare to get them from quests. The game gives you three from lunchboxes the game gives you, after that you won't get any more from the lunchboxes the game gives you, so your best chance at getting the achievement is to buy lunchboxes, using real money, and hope they give you a legendary dweller.

I can't reccomend the game because one of the achievements requires you to spend money in order to have a real chance at getting it.

Fallout 4 is one of those games where I wish Steam had an in-between option, instead of just like and dislike. There's stuff I like and dislike about the game.

Overall, I like the The Commonwealth as a setting for the game, I overall enjoyed my time exploring Fallout 4's map, however, I do wish that there was other larger communities than Diamond City and Good Neighbour, it makes the map feel a bit emptier than Fallout 3's and Fallout New Vegas' map, to me.

The story felt boring, and I personally didn't feel that interested in it.
I'm also not a fan of how the Brotherhood of Steel is portrayed in Fallout 4, in Fallout 3 they felt like they were the good guys, that wanted to help people, in Fallout 4 they feel like they only think about themselves.

The side quests aren't much more interesting either, the majority of them have goes as following:
1. Get quest.
2. Go to a place.
3. Shoot a bunch of enemies.
4. Maybe pick up a special item.
5. Return and report to the quest giver.
I personally missed some of the more complex side quests from earlier games in the series.

Overall the gameplay feels like it has been simplifies, which I'm not a fan of.
Weapons and armor no longer degrades, and breaks over time.
The skill system is gone, and have been replaced by a perk tree.
In earlier games S.P.E.C.I.A.L. felt more important, when you had set those stats in the start of the game they weren't easy to change, in Fallout 4 you can level them up with perk points when you level up your character, making them feel less important.
There's not karma system, and the dialog system have been butchered, the dialog tree used in previous games have been replaces by 4 options, that the majority of the time can be summed up to:
- Yes.
- No.
- Yes/No but with other words.
- Sarcastic.

The skill check are gone, replaces with a Charisma check, that works like the Speech check from previous games, but the result is determined by the level of your Charisma stat.

On a positive note, there have also been improvements to the gameplay.
Weapons feels much better than in Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas.
There is a load of crafting and upgrade option for weapons and armor.
They've added a small pop up menu, that shows the items in a container, so you don't have to open the inventory when looting it.
The Power Armor have also been improved, in earlier games it felt like another regular piece of armor you equipped, in Fallout 4 it feels like a kind of vehicle, it feels like it fits the name "Power Armor", there's also a lot of customisation option for the Power Armors, which I like.

I personally like the settlement building system, I can understand why players may dislike how it was forced into the main quest line though, and I personally think it should have only been used for side quests. But I personally like building settlements and make them look nice, however, I do not like that I have babysit half of The Commonwealth.

Fallout 4 has ups and down, but those downs are really low, and I'm not a fan of some of the decisions Bethesda took when making the game, and I would have wanted to gave the game an in-between rating, neither positive or negative, but I still enjoyed playing the game, which I why I'm giving it a positive review.
