Very nice!

More fun than the majority of the games that come out nowadays, why have I been putting this off?

Only one complain and that would be the Gonarch fight near the end, when it drops in the tunnel it should continue going forward running away from you but what happens is that it just roams the very same tunnel and attacking if you're inside it as well, if you run by it and jump in the hole it will still remain in the tunnel, no matter how much damage you would do to it, it will never die, to by pass this just crowbar the ground near the two social anxiety tentacles for a minute and you should be able to continue from there.

I don't really play turn based RPGs but my god these games will remain one of my favourites probably for forever, hot take but I think this is better than Baldurs Gate 3 (in my opinion) because of how fun the gameplay is compared right off the bat (heh, get it? Bat? Aight nvm.) and how the story is more bearable without the fantasy elements which I find very repetitive but I guess it is a staple of Baldurs Gate games for decades now so I am not hating on it just pointing out to as why I wouldn't enjoy it.

Story
I am straight up unable to say anything bad about the story as I've been a massive fan of the Yakuza series since 2019 when I first got introduced to it thanks to a friend but I do wish some things were more polished. The bonds between the party are HANDFUL and I loved what they did, they really went out of their way to make the character conversations fun and memorable, the characters are filled with so much personality that I was loving every second of it and felt like they were real as the voice acting performance is 10/10 by how much effort they put in truly selling these characters.

Gameplay
MY GOD ITS SO FUN, the gameplay is very simple and does not make you think and bend your mind which I really like. The new jobs introduced are an amazing addition but I do miss some of the older jobs like the Devil Rocker, Musician, Fortune Teller, Foreman, Enforcer, Bodyguard, Dealer and Matriarch. I do also wish Kiryu had his Agent style as a job exclusive to him similar how Ichiban has the Hero and Sujimon Master jobs.

Side stuff: Mini-Games
The minigames were really fun, from Crazy Eats to Miss Match and from Sonic Fighters to Sega Bass Fishing arcade wise. I do wish there was more for a game that is THIS big, since Lost Judgment had a lot more and despite it being a few years older.

The disappointing stuff:
STOP USING THAT ANIMATION WHERE MORE GOONS WALK IN, HOLYY ITS SO OVERPLAYED.


What even was the point of putting in Kamurocho...

Also the potential used for Daigo, Saejima and Majima was very poorly used despite them being fan favourite characters.

Amazing bridge between the last Yakuza / Like a Dragon games!

Ah yes, we have finally found it.

The Dark Soul.

I liked this, the gameplay was always keeping me on edge, the final boss fight took me while, but I think I would rather play the first one if I was to play the survival or time attack modes since this one lacks a few power ups from the first game.
