Early Access Review
Optimisation is key! Fun so far, need more time with game to understand long term view.

Do not buy if you are expecting a perfect game in its current state, it is early access after all!

The game has some solid mechanics and provides a fun twist on the tactical simulator and offers a slightly different feel then Tarkov. The game does feel clunky, so make sure you follow a guide to toggle the right settings to maximise performance. Outside of this you will start in the base with very little direction, learn the mechanics, pick an exfil and explore!

I worry that this won't provide long term longevity in its current state, and will feel very repetitive very quickly. I would personally start with starter edition, and only upgrade if you want to support devs. The additional secure pouch size will help retain some loot when you die, but outside of speeding up loot grind until you get good at the game is not a massive advantage!

I finally got round to playing this game after about 2 years of having the key but never activating it! Having seen some of the game play from the second and third instalment, you can definitely see some of the improvements that have been made to cameras, gear, and map quality, since this game. I hate having to stick around to see the kill, and like the camera pop up that shows you the execution without having to stick around, which feels way stealthier in the sequels. That being said its still a really fun game, that I haven't put down since I started playing it. The weird and wacky ways you can assassinate targets, makes exploration and experimentation feel rewarding. The base game is fairly easy, but the extra content and modifiers, really test your grasp of the games mechanics. The best thing about this franchise is the long term compatibility that you get, the fact that levels from previous games can be exported to the next instalments makes it feel worth picking it up, and encourage me to get Hitman 2 before I jump into Hitman 3, as all that content is transferable to one game.

Honestly I had a really fun time playing this for a few hours, some interesting mechanics but movement felt way to floaty. Overall seemed unique but wasn't enough to keep me coming back for more, I just don't think there is much replay-ability here, with only a few areas of the map that seemed to draw large number of players in, too easy and quick to gear up and so reliant on getting shields early on or you just get destroyed to quickly. Worth trying out but not a long term battle royale imo.

The game is really fun and remains faithful to the original. The movement feels great and the nostalgia makes me want to carry on playing. Having read several reviews for the game such as IGN, they complain that they didn't improve the old game and that it doesn't stand up against other modern platformers. They are wrong, you cant fix what wasn't broke, and battle for bikini bottom was and always will be a great game, this just makes it look a bit more modern but other then that keeps to what we grew up loving. You should absolutely play it and I would rate it up there with Spyro and Crash remasters. Again its a remaster not a remake, its still feels like a turn of the millenium game, but that was the pinnacle of platforming!
